It would appear timing is way off ... I suggest you have a professional take a look at this.

SOURCE: hi. have a Suzuki gp 125 1981. gets spark and gas

Is it electric or kick start only? And what about the battery? If it has one ,is it any good. Most kick only bikes will run without a battery, but some newer ones need backup for the electronics. Yours being an 81, I would suspect a mouse nest inside the engine cover, something wrong with the stator, alternator, magneto, whatever you have on it. Down below on left side is where the wires come out of the case and go into a junction, it is the junction for the alternator, see if the screws are not rusted, and the wires are intact. Check out the air filter and the wires to the coil. Low compression will prevent it from starting. There could be a number of things stopping it. Hope this helps.

Carburetor backfire and antifreeze leaking under the car

first up check that you have put the spark plug leads on the correct plugs in the firing order as back firing comes from having 2 leads crossed. Have a pressure test done on the coolant system to find the leak . If it just started after the back firing I suspect that the inlet manifold may be corroded at the water cross over section and the back firing may have loosened the gasket enough for the leak to mstart

Kia ora, i have a makita 2 stroke grass cutter, that just wont start, checked, spark plug, fuel, took it apart and cleaned it..still wont start. Please help, it does not have model number only product...

Engines need 4 things: Spark, compression, fuel, exhaust

1) Does spark plug have spark?
Take out plug, put plug wire back on plug, hold plug threads against metal part of engine, pull cord, do you see spark between plug and engine?

2) While spark plug is out, put finger over hole and pull cord. Do you feel suction that shows compression?

3) What about the exhaust port? Is the screen blocked with carbon deposits and dirt? Soak it in WD-40.

4) Do you have 2-cycle oil in gasoline? Do you have fresh gas? Did you leave gasoline in tank for several months? Is the carburetor clogged with gum?

5) What about the air filter? Does it fire up without air filter? Will it fire if you spray WD-40 into carburetor? Can you keep it going while spraying WD-40 into carburetor?
If it fires with WD-40 but won't keep going on it's own, then the gas is not getting to carburetor or carburetor is clogged with gum.

Husqvarna 350 wont start. fired up on first pull after not being used for years and sputtered for about 5 seconds then died. now it wont start. the fuel line, air filter, and spark plug all look good.

Does the primer bulb pull new fuel into it after 3 or 4 pumps? You should clean or change the fuel filter in the tank. The diaphragm in the lower carburetor chamber is probably hard or cracked and should be replaced. There is a small filter screen within the carburetor body that may be plugged as well. Probably, the carburetor should be disassembled, cleaned with spray carburetor cleaner, and rekitted. Try a little fuel mix in the plug hole and pull through--you should get several pops which points to lack of fuel from the carburetor. Hope this helps!

Chainsaw wont fire

Is the spark plug wet (inside after trying to start it)? If dry, the carburetor isn't delivering fuel into the engine. Check the muffler to see if it is plugged. Is the carburetor firmly attached to the engine? Fuel and spark at the right time makes it go! Try squirting a little fuel into the carburetor throat. Might be loose screws on carburetor assembly.
