Those are the full retail prices if you buy direct from S&S also.

If you don't mind a used one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/400662733400

BUT, there's only about 1 day left on it.

If you have the stock manifold, and it's the spigot type (instead of having a flange with two holes to bolt a carb to), they have an adapter.

BTW, how's the wiring coming along?

SOURCE: trouble removing carbs on 96 CBR 600 F3

Theres a big lip holding it. Make sure all cables and pipes/hoses are removed, spray with some WD40 or similar spray lube and then try prying it with something that won't damage the carbs or engine.

I have a redmax cht230 hedge trimmer. It keeps flooding out and it is hunting on idle. Is the carburator fixable or ia it going have to be replaced.

I am not familiar with your brand of machine, BUT... the "hunting" you describe is suggestive of extra air getting into the system between the carb and the engine block.

That would mean a gasket leak either between the carb and intake manifold [IF its got one], or between the intake manifold and the engine block intake port, or if no manifold, then between the carb and the engine block intake port.

OOPS!!!! Also, SOME engines may have a plastic intake manifold between the carb and the engine block, and sometimes these plastic "tubes" will develop stress fractures [cracks] allowing extra air to enter.

There is a 2 second hesitation in my throttle when trying to accelerate to 2nd gear. Possible solutions?

Clean the carb plus check for intake leaks.
checking for intake leak warm your bike up take a can of WD40 while the motorcycle is running spray with WD40 with the nozzel attached around the carb joint/manifold if there are intake leaks the engine rpm will change then you will know you need to replace the o-ring or gasket or carb manifold/carb joint.

72 harley sportster, s&s shorty carb, runs great but

Hi Anonymous, popping, coughing, spitting, or backfiring through the carburator or induction module can be caused by air getting sucked in combustion chamber do bad intake seals leaking. Leaking exhaust gaskets can also be suspect. Remove air cleaner and backing plate, while engine is idling spray WD-40 or Brake Kleen around intake manifold to head area, if RPM's increase you have an intake leak and seals need to be replaced, also spark plugs will be burning whiter than normal. Good luck and have nice day.

Coolant leaking in and around the intake manifold as well as the under carriage of that same part I think. Outake? I know that the part that attaches to the manifold appears to be metal but the manifold...

The plastic piece is the upper intake manifold. The metal part is the lower intake manifold. Sometimes the gaskets go bad between the upper and lower intake manifolds. But usually the upper intake manifold is cracked and needs replaced.

I have a 99 windstar that has eng. codes P 0171 & P 0174 ? thanks Glenn

These typically have leaky intake manifold gaskets. First check for any loose vacuum lines. There are a few attached to the back of the upper manifold. These can also set those lean codes. If you can't find a broken or loose hose, try spraying some carb cleaner at the intake manifold gaskets. if the engine revs at all when you do this, you have leaky gaskets. Let me know if you have any questions or need instructions.

1999 buick century coolant on top of intake manifold no engine lights on

Carefully check all hoses & clamps. If leak/seepage not found then check for leak along the intake manifold - the manifold gasket could be leaking and this is quite common.

2003 Mercury Mountaineer with 4.6L is loosing coolant, no steam coming out of tail pipe or fluid leaking on the ground. The dealer thinks it intake manifold or head gasket. The hot oil light has come on...

dont know of any head gasket concerns, usually when the intake manifold leaks it either split and pours out or the heater hose fittings crack and leak. Check the hose connections at the intake and make sure none of the hose clamps have cracked and are leaking
