SOURCE: 91 LEGACY STARTED RUNNING ROUGH

The cylinders are numbered as on the spark pack you changed. You might have done better putting the seafoam in the tank as an injector cleaner. Not sure why you changed so many parts, you seem to know how to get the codes from test connector lead hookup and the blink pattern. You might also want to check the fuel rail pressure and the crank and cam angle sensors. Before replacing the injector, swap the #4 injector with the adjacent one and see it the code moves with the injector or stays put. If the code stays on #4, then check the injector wiring, if it moves clean or replace the injector.

SOURCE: starts runs min. or two then stops....

Go to toro.com then click customer care, then click manuals and parts. Type in model no. and download the owners manual. This should get you the spark and flywheel gap. Probably still something in the carb. Some orifices are very hard to find and to clean but they must be clean. Also check for dirt dopper nest in the muffler.

Maybe the problem is with the wires leading to the coil. If there is spark, and it is not getting to the plugs, then that sounds like it would be these. The only other thing would be a faulty distributor, or ignition timing.

Keep us posted.

I have a sears 247 889571 24" snow blower. Start fine. Runs rough, like the choke is on. Choke is off. Fresh gas (ran it dry last spring). Ran 1 tank through with it running very rough. Just as it ran out...

You ran it dry at some point. Gas tanks collect crud and water at the bottom over time and this may have been sucked up into the fuel filter or carb. Clean or replace fuel filter, then remove and carefully strip apart and clean all parts of the carb be gentle with brass and any moving parts in the carb, clean with plastic tools.

My Coleman Powermate 5000 cranks fine and runs for 10 mins and seems to over heat and cuts off. Fresh gas, oil fine and carb cleaned very well. The muffler gets cherry red at night. Carb adjustment? ...

Carb is probably the problem as you thought. It sounds as it might be running too lean, meaning the mixture does not have enough gas in it. Try turning the high speed mixture screw (remembering the position that you started from) counterclockwise in 1/8 turn increments (adds more fuel to the mix) until it starts to run rough then turn back to mid point from where you started from. Have you tried checking for obstructions to the proper circulation of air through the fins for cooling. Make sure all the shrouds are installed. Some people think by removing any covering over the engine will help for cooling, it doesn't they are designed to have all the parts on it for proper cooling. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck.

Check filter of course but also you might think of doing a carb cleaning also.Sounds like you might have something floating around in the carb, maybe even a little water in your fuel.If its running better in choke mode it's starving for fuel have carb checked and cleaned. Good luck

How to start the gsxr 750 after running out off

It should start fine - unless you have drawn gunk from the bottom of the tank into the fuel line, in which case you will need to strip and clean the carbs.

Started and ran for about 20 min now it wont start changed plug no change

  • Got gas and is it turned on? Clean air filter?
  • Have a buddy kick the starter while you look for spark.
  • Assuming no spark, how good is your battery? Are the fuses good? Kill switch on or shorted to the bars or elsewhere? Side stand kill switch gone bad?
  • carb, head and intake manifold mounted tight?
  • Have the dealer check the CDI, coil etc.
  • Remove the water trap bowl at the bottom of the petcock, (gas valve). Is there any water or trash in the bowl? Drain a cup of gas from the tank. Is there any water or trash in the cup? Dump it, clean it and re-mount it, ( not all bikes have a water trap bowl ).
  • Drain the carburetor. There should be a screw on the lower side of the carb float bowl. Remove the screw then replace it after the fuel drains. Turn the gas back on and wait a minute for the carb to fill with gas. Try to start the engine. If the bike doesn't start and run properly then shut off the gas and remove the carburetor from the engine.
  • Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb
