SOURCE: the clutch wont diengage

Might be time for a Clutch Slave Rebuild.

Has the Bike sat for many months? Sometimes the Clutches stick together because the oil , like, suctioned them together.
You can start the bike, hold in the clutch and kick it into first gear. It may stall out a few times but usually that will free up the clutches. Careful , the bike will lunge foward as yo kick it into gear

Goes in gear but wont move

the clutch pressure plate is not engaging because the actuation is not working
If it is hydraulic then the problem may be in the master cylinder with a blocked compensating port or the slave cylinder piston is jammed in the out position and not returning
or if it is a cable operation the cable is jammed in the case and not allowing clutch operation

Will wet clutch work again if run dry and now car wont move

what is a wet clutch?,. the A/T torque converter
the inside transmission wet, clutch packs
or the stick shifting master cylinder and slave
why not post year, swift, and what system you are working.
eg: my car wont move, got that.
my RPM tachometer races fast, but car wont go (called slip)
or my clutch pedal seems dead.
or my A/T CAR., transmission is no working right, say what?

we cant guess any of that.
just say whats up, fully, please.

Tl1000r clutch wont work

the clutch adjuster on the engine, not the cable adjuster, the unit behind the cover where the cable enters on the engine left side sat on bike, loosen the cables, remove the cover and loosen the 10 mm nut, get flat driver and screw the pin in till you meet resistance, then a tad midges dikc more, then back off quarter a turn, keeping the pin from moving with driver use 10 mm spanner hold driver tight and tighten the nut, it sounds like the adjuster needs loosening, as it is operating the clutch.

76 flh cluch dont move when handle is pulled

Check to see if the clutch cable is broken. Watch the long clutch release lever under the oil tank as you squeeze the clutch lever. If it doesn't move when you squeeze the lever, your cable is broken. If it does, you've got problems with the release mechanism inside the right side of your transmission most likely.

When I try put it into gear when started it wont go but if i shut it off and put it into gear it will. Now I just recently had my clutch but my clutch cable needs changing I believe so my question is...

sounds like your clutch if not hydrolic needs a little adjustment or the syncronizer is going bad.. look for a cable when someone depresses the clutch where it attaches to the side of the tranny usually if adjustable the bolt is a 10 mm or 12 mm need usually a pair of pliars and a wrench.,..good luck;/

Clutch pedal goes to floor and stays there .cable and all linkages seem to be working

well if it doesnt return then i'm assuming that the clutch isnt actually working on your car right? like you cant disengage the clutch correct? the only thing i've seen on these is that the cable can become disconnected right at the lever which applies the clutch. the clutch lever is right on the front side of the transmission and is easily seen with just the hood open. have somebody push the clutch down and see if the lever is moving. i can't imagine that it would be moving. if the lever does move and the clutch does not disengage then first i would attempt to adjust the clutch cable.

did this probelm just occur out of nowhere?

really the only explanation for this if the clutch lever is moving is that you have a very serious problem with the pressure plate. but i've never even heard of any probelm like this resulting from a bad pressure plate.

i would say that there about a 99% chance it's the a linkage probelm and 1% it's the pressure plate.

but yea if you answer those above questions i'd be able to give a better solution.

How do you adjust a clutch on a yamaha gt 100 motorbike this bike has been in storage for a few years. We just got it back running but at first the clutch wouldnt work at all the we took the cover off the...

Since the bike was stord for a long time the clutch plates have siezed kinda on the plates, all you have to do is put your bike on the main stand and thn select a gear and press the clutch lever and one turns the rear wheel ..this might help to release the plates.
If its tough to turn the rear wheel by hand thn try pushing the bike exrating pressure to the rear side so tht the wheel can get maximum contact to the ground.
This works for my bike XJ750R 1981.
Hope this helps!, or else you will have to remove the clutch basket and clean and refit.
