Wont start, kick starter is stuck

You have either broken something internally in the gear box or the motor is seized. A quick way to find out is to pull your spark plug and attempt kick starting it without the plug in. There should be no problem turning the engine over easily. You can put it in gear and attempt pushing the bike to see if the engine turns that way. More than likely your kick start has broken something inside, whether it be a spring or bearing, something has locked down to not allow it to rotate.

My 2003 ttr 125 is clicking when in first gear

Chances are you have a broken gear tooth. ALWAYS replace gears in sets. ALWAYS.

Got a 02' 125 ttr and it make a knocking noise in first gear? shifts fine and no other noise in other gears.

You have a broken tooth on the first gear set. This means two gears will need replaced; the drive gear and the driven gear in first gear range. DON'T just replace the gear with the broken tooth. Replace the gear it meshes with also.

If you hear a tapping noise from the gearbox then you have a broken gear tooth. Is the sound is present in all the gears or just in one or two gears? If the tapping is present in all gears then the busted tooth is on the clutch hub or the crankshaft drive gear. This is good because it is easier to fix than a broken transmission gear.

If the tapping is just in one or two gears then you will need to remove the engine for a complete tear down. In any event, ALWAYS replace gears in sets. Replace the broken gear and the gear that it meshes with. Don't replace both gears and you will soon wish you did. ALWAYS replace gears in sets.

Slippage in second gear, pulls fine in all other gears and shifts fine, feels like broken tooth off gear or something of that nature

A broken gear tooth will cause a clicking sound. Start out in 2nd gear going slow. Hear any clicking? If so then TWO gears need to be replaced > the broken gear and the gear that meshes with it. If enough pressure was on a gear tooth to cause it to break, then similar pressure was on the gear it was engaged in. The gear may look okay, but it isn't. ALWAYS replace gears in sets.

I was riding my wr 250cc

Check the sprockets. Got a stick or rock binding the chain? Remove the chain. Does the wheel spin freely? Brake frozen?

Since your bike is water cooled, a seized piston is not too likely. Got water in the radiator? Most likely is a broken torsion spring on the kick start shaft. The adjacent ratchet wheel and the kick shaft should be inspected. The ratchet wheel should have a smooth movement. If not then replace it. The kick shaft should not show wear or damage. The same is true for the kick gear and idler gear. Replace as needed.

The only other possibilities are a frozen main bearing, (not likely), a broken or severely bent shift fork, (more likely than a main bearing).

Please rate this solution. Thanks!
