Most likely a short in the directional circuit. Start at the blubs and disconnect the connectors at the bulb sockets. disconnect one at a time and see if the fuse continues to blow. When the fuse stops blowing you have found which circuit it is. Also, this could be the stalk switch on the steering column. disconnect and see if the fuse blows, and don't forget the 4 way flasher switch also. Lastly, pull the relay and check if the fuse still blows.
Hi Craig, I would suggest you forget about looking for a fuse and instead check the fluid level in the gear box. Start the engine and leave it idling with the park brake engaged, pull out the dip stick and check the level of oil. Always top up with the recommended oil and then take the vehicle and find out where the leakage is. Regards John
I hope its your release bearing, but I had this same issue with my Audi and it turned out to be I need a new transmission, the gears are not catching it sounds like. your synchros may also be off. Does it do this in every gear, and once it does move, does the clutch slip?
check the fuse for the cruise control from the driver side located on the left side of the dashborad. Make sure the fuse is not blown out.
If it bad, change it out but make sure it is the same rated fuse.
you have a short in the transmission control circuit. there is a good chance that because of the accident the mainharness was damaged. your transmission is locted on the drivers side so that would explain why your blowing fuses while shifting. I would start by looking at gthe main harness, and i would take it to a shop and have a diagnostic run on the transmission. please rate this...thanks
