hello check speedo cable, if not i belive these bikes speedos has small gears inside of speedometer, als check make sure cable is not broke on the ends

Basically oil and water don't mix well, You have a place where water is getting into your crankcase. Do a full visual inspection and see if you can find any cracks or bad seals. I would check my seals in hopes that is where the leak is as a start. Good luck

they're inside the alternator cover...remove the outer cover and you'll find them mounted either side of the alternator windings...

SOURCE: 85 kawasaki 454 ltd en 450a. Cam chain timing. Has jumped time due to alternator Mechanical failure. Have manual but dose not fully out line procedure. Need help fast. Winter or not I need to ride
try this free Haynes manual...you may find it's explanation simpler...
