2008 civic driver side brake light wont light up. Cuts off when brake is pressed. Both other brake lights work. Not a fuse problem. I've replaced the bulb. What could the issue be?

I removed my wife's left rear (BMW) found ugly spot and cleaned it with white vinegar Q-tipped the bulbs (very sparingly)... Applied CRC White Lithium grease... (again very sparingly)... From eBay pictures... I have been able to look at the (trunk-side) light... and I see no ground point in YOUR plastic housing... which means your ground issue is either right at your socket... or up the wiring harness. You can prove there is BATTERY there by simply putting a meter on the bulbs... and measuring voltage
to a GOOD GROUND elsewhere on the car (while the brake is being applied).

I am supposing that both elements will be powered... just missing ENOUGH GROUND to glow brightly (visibly).

Q-tipped the sockets... everything is peachy.

If it is a twist out socket... check right there with a bright light.

Use no abrasives... if it is really ugly use the point of an ordinary graphite pencil to smooth the mating surfaces.

If all else fails replace the socket.

Happy hunting!

Obd light on, idle rough, smell, no throttle

The obd light with tell specifically what it is, is it gas or rotten egg - the latter means catalytic converter, gas smell probably flooded or not firing on one or more cylinders, need more details. Also, if the light is flashing it's warning of catalytic damage - raw fuel hitting the cat, smell could be heat from cat trying to burn off raw fuel,it will glow red hot.

Roper Dryer RED4440SQ0 TOO MUCH HEAT

T'he glow you saw was on the back wall in the dryer behind the a grated area if I'm correct. What you saw was the heating element, or a reflection of it while it was on. The element glows bright red when power is being applied to it to function and is housing is made of sheet metal so it does carry a reflective quality. If you really want to make sure that the dryer isn't over heating, which I don't believe it is due to the fact that would mean the high limit thermostat has failed in a way that I've never really seen, take the vent off the back and using a digital thermometer check to see how high it gets before the machine cycles off and the temperature drops.

Oven heats very slowly (Jenn-Air JGS9900BDS). Cooktop works fine. Broiler works. No error codes.

hi, Could be a bad bake element or a bad temperature sensor. If the element will glow bright red/orange with no hotspots it is OK. Take a volt/ohm meter set for ohms and check the temp sensor. If less than 1050 ohms replace it.

2003 honda element, with a fully charged battery the car will start fine up to 1 week after that it will not start, that with the car setting idle, there are no lights, radio,or any other battery drains that...

HI, i would try to isolate this drain. once isolated, it will be easier to repair.

Here is the procedure I use to isolate a battery drain. Remove negative battery cable from the battery. Using a 12-volt test light, hook one end to the negative battery post the other end to the negative battery cable you just disconnected. The test light will glow or "light" if there is a drain. If the "light or glow" is faint, that is probably normal draw for the clock or computer. If the "light or glow" is bright, then there is a large drain. That should be corrected. Now start removing and replacing the fuses one by one until the light goes out; that one will be the circuit with the drain. Remember to hold in the button in the door jam for the interior lights.

Lately, all "white" objects, text, spaceships, etc. have "glows"

Do you also have a glow around the projected image, try projecting on a white wall without any borders. The cause for this is dirt inside the lens elements diffusing the light.
