My 2007 Arctic Cat 250 2x4 barely starts and dies when you open the throtle any at all. No previous problems.

It sounds like it could be either a stuck choke, or a dirty carb. If you can see the choke moving freely you should try cleaning the carb jet and bowl. If you can try some carb cleaner first without removing the carb.

If you get it running, ensure you have fresh gasoline. I always store my engines with Seafoam to clean the carbs and keep the gas from going bad during storage.

Bought my stunner recently,3 days back.Today when i was trying to start it by self start,it was not turning on but made choking sound..All other stuffs are working good...Since there is no kick start...

the only way i know of starting the bike by pushing it is to get up to 40mph

but before that is the battery fully charged? also i would drain the fuel tank and put in new fuel then check the spark plug is working by removing it from the engine and laying it on some metal and seeing if it sparks
if it still dosnt start then the carb needs a clean

hope this helps

My 2007 honda cbf 250 just started making a clunking sound in the engine. Any ideas?? I'm about due for a service, hopefully its noting serious?

Hopefully, by the description, it won't be too late.
Could be a loose pipe or even piston slap if the oil is old.

Cbr 250 wont idle without choke

Dirty carbs. Remove from bike and disassemble each carb and clean them thoroughly. one or more of the small passageways in the carb can be clogged with a small piece of dirt or eve carbon build up. Stale fuel will "gum" them up to
