How to replace a flywheel on a ford five hundred

Remove the inspection plate and undo the bolts attaching the torque converter to the flex plate Remove transmission If you are not familiar with that procedure give the job to a mechanic. Remove the clutch if not auto again know how to replace clutch pressure plate and clutch plate. Something tells me that the flywheel isn't stripped but the flexiplate has fractured as it is unusual for the teeth of the ring gear to be completely stripped. Moving on use an impact gun to undo the bolts holding on the flywheel/flex plate Installation is reverse to removal. But I recommend you have good advice handy to do this job

Got a high bite point does my clutch need replacing on my peogeut 307 02 plate

If you have to lift your foot off the floor to let the clutch in, then the plates are worn out and may soon stop driving.

Replace them soon!

Clutch is frozen from sitting in garage

What has happened is the friction plates have styuck themselves to the actual clutch plates ,this is normally caused by damp getting into the clutch .You may be lucky ,If you can start the bike and run the engine till it gets to working temperature .Some times the cluch plates will unfree themselve with the heat exspansion from the engine ..Try operating the clutch .but don't try to engage any gears .untill the engine is switched off .And while the engine is still warm put the bike into 1st gear and gently rock it .If this does not work ,then its a strip down unfortunatly ..However you may be able to free the clutch without totaly stripping the clutch unit diown, .Some times to can tease the plates appart using a very thin bladed knife or scraper .I have had success uesing a small trowel .But take care not to damage the plates ,and get a friend to operate the clutch while you are trying to free the clutch plates .

Peugeot 206 NEW clutch pressure and clutch plates were replaced including the bearing. Clutch is making a rattling noise but not when pedal is down. Having difficulty getting into 1st and 2nd gears....

its likley to be the clutch center plate cush springs are loos and the center plate is warped so wnen you try to get into gear the clutch is draging the gear box around,,,bipping the clutch stops the clutch spinning so no noise! all you can do is strip the lot down again and fine the fault and fix it

Clutch pressure

Hi there. Sounds like your clutch pressure plate has broken and whilst the clutch feels lighter, under load, especialy when the car is heavily loaded, I think that you will find the clutch will begin slipping. My advice is to have the clutch pressure plate replaced and at the same time replace the clutch plate and most likely the clutch release bearing too. You could keep running the car, but if the broken pressure plate part falls out, you could have an even more expensive repair. The quicker you have the clutch stripped down and repaired the better. Hope this helps. Scottech.

Dry Sticking Clutch on 2009 Yamaha 450F

Do not try to out engineer the engineers. Do not take a drill to your clutch. Just put 10w40 in the crankcase and see if that takes care of the problem. How good is your clutch cable? Lubricated it lately?
