Here are a few things you can check to diagnose and potentially fix the issue:
Check the turn signal bulb: Start by checking the turn signal bulb on the left side. Sometimes a burnt-out bulb can cause the signal to stop working. Try replacing the bulb with a new one and see if that solves the problem.
Check the fuse: If the bulb is not the issue, the next thing to check is the turn signal fuse. Check the fuse box and locate the fuse for the turn signals. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one and test the turn signal again.
Check the wiring: If the bulb and fuse are both fine, the issue could be with the wiring in the turn signal circuit. Check the wiring connections around the turn signal assembly for any signs of corrosion or damage. Also, check the wiring connections to the turn signal switch and the flasher unit.
Check the turn signal switch: If the wiring connections are all good, the issue could be with the turn signal switch itself. Check the switch for any signs of damage or wear. You may need to replace the switch if it is faulty.
If you're unsure about any of these steps or if the problem persists after trying these solutions, it's recommended to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic or automotive electrician for further diagnosis and repair.
If the front blinkers on your 2011 Lincoln Navigator are not working, but the rear blinkers are, there are a few things you can check:
Check the fuses: The first thing to check is the fuses for the turn signals. Look for the fuse box that contains the fuses for the turn signals and check to see if any of them are blown.
Check the bulbs: You mentioned that you already checked the bulbs, but it's always a good idea to double-check. Make sure the bulbs are the correct size and are securely installed.
Check the wiring: Check the wiring for any visible damage, corrosion or loose connections. Look for any frayed or damaged wires that may be causing a short circuit.
Check the turn signal switch: The turn signal switch may be faulty, preventing the front blinkers from working. Test the turn signal switch to see if it is working properly.
If none of these steps solve the problem, it's possible that there may be an issue with the wiring harness or the control module. In this case, it's recommended to take the vehicle to a professional mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
Check your fuse block for blown fuses. If you have a test light check to see if you have power coming to the rear light assembly with your lights turned on. If not you either have a blown fuse or possibly a bad ground, or pinched wire
Check the contact plates inside the bulb sockets. On old sockets sometimes one of the contacts will melt or sink into the plate causing half the tail light to not work. Many times I have taken the plate/with wires out of a different light and repaired a socket. I have also changed turn signals from front to back by switching the contact plates. Horns are notorious for not working. Check it by hooking power directly to it. If you have done a thorough plug and unplug of all the wire connections, your next option is to carefully take apart the handle bar switch and clean the contacts. If you ave already tried another flasher unit (12 volt trailer flashers are cheap) be sure to replace the old fuses with new ones. Old fuses sometimes separate internally and no longer work correctly. Also do not be afraid of taking the ignition contact base off and cleaning that. If you take off the ignition switch, put the key to the on position, push the three tabs, you can pull off the electrical contact base , carefully disassemble it, and clean it. Good Luck
W/out knowing details on your vehicle, it makes it very difficult to help. Year? Stick or auto>? engine/trans info. Does it have an alarm installed or a factory security system?
Common checks would be park/neutral switch (Or clutch switch if its a stick), fuses (some cars actually fuse the start signal), old alarm brain that has activated and cut off starter signal, and do the cluster lamps go into SELF TEST and all light up when you turn the key to CRANK. If the lamps do the normal cranking bulb check, then likely your ignition switch is working. depending on the year, ford ignition switches sometymes could be a common problem. But without info to look up a diagram, cant offer more help than generalities
