Under your seat there is a small fuse box with 4 fuses in it. Open and inside of the top there is a diagram on the fuses check the headlight fuse it's most likely blown also there is a single fuse setup in there also separate from those fuses. It is connected to your solenoid open and checkhart that fuse as well and go from there.

SOURCE: Yamaha FZR 600 not charging correctly with the lights on

I HAD THE SAME ISSUE. CHECK YOUR VOLTAGE OFF O THE MAGNETO, IT SHOULD BE IN THE 25V RANGE. IF THAT CHECKS OUT OK CK THE VOLTAGE IMEDIATLY AFTER THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR, I BET IT IS BELOW 14V. THE FZR IS PRONE TO HAVING THE REGULATOR GO BAD (THE OLDER ONES HAVE NO COOLING FINS AND THEY BURN THEMSELVES UP). THE BEST ONE TO BUY IS THE NEWER VERSION FROM A 1999 FZR, IT HAS COOLING FINS WHICH GREATLY PROLONGS THE LIFE. YOU HAVE TO DO SOME SLIGHT WIRING MODS, BUT NOTHING ANYONE COULDN'T DO. SEARCH FOR FZR REGULATOR UPGRADE AND IT WILL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING! I HOPE THIS HELPS! GOOD LUCK!

SOURCE: 94 yamaha fzr 600. only firing on 1 an 2 cyl

No one thing controls those items.
The ignition and headlight circuits
each have their own fuses under the seat.

If you have power to both of the coil sets
then the coil for cylinder 3 and 4
might be faulty.

Lights may just have a blown fuse.

You have more than one problem
going on there.

If you are not getting battery voltage to the sockets for your H/L bulb and you have tested the fuse with a multi meter or test light, then you have had the headlight relay fail.

I have a 91 yamaha FZR 600 r I noticed that the air box just kind of sits on the carbs and the clamps don't work right I am also having trouble with my head light and gage light and horn none of them work...

well as far as ur air box goes it should be bolted to frame some where and them clamps just help the rubber stay tight around ur carb if they are lose it will just draw more air and cuz bike to run lean or rough lean is not bad thing as long as ur pipes at the head are not glowing red as far as lights check fuses and all ground wires

Headlights stopped working

Hi, Justin_elm if your headlight is not working, keeps burning out or is dim the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn, chaffed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
3. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
4. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
5. Faulty ignition switch.
6. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
7. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
8. Weak charging alternator/generator.
9. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier, overcharging.

My 91 fzr 600 wont start it started out with a bad connection between the battery n batttery cables so i got a new battery n changed the soilinoid then got it workin cuz my electric start wouldnt work of...

sounds like the battery is not charging. So the problem may be in the alternator\regulator
Recharge the battery with a small charger 1-2 amps.
The battery should read just over 12v when charged
Then try to start it.(push it you have to)
When its running put a volt meter across the battery terminals and it should read 13.5 volts.

Horn and Highbeams not working

Hi!
Have you taken a look at the switch? I'm a Harley Guy, the Horn and High beam switch are located on the same bank so a clean with a bit 'O' WD might do the trick?? did for me.
