The sensor in the gas tank is faulty, the fuse has blown or the gauge at the dashboard side if faulty - try disconnecting the wire attached to the gas tank end and ground it - if the gauge should indicate a full tank - if so then the float unit in the tank need replaced - if it doesn't move then it is either the fuse or the guage.

My gas gauge in my 2002 Pontiac Bonnivile shows empty all the time

Fuel Gauge Troubleshooting

Fuel Gage
The IPC displays the fuel level as determined by the PCM. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the fuel level percent. The fuel gage defaults to empty if:
• The PCM detects a malfunction in the fuel level sensor circuit.
• The IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with the PCM.
When the fuel level is less than a pre-determined value, the CHECK GAGES indicator illuminates.
DTC P0462
The fuel level sensor changes resistance based on fuel level. The PCM monitors the signal circuit of the fuel level sensor in order to determine fuel level. When the fuel tank is full, the sensor resistance is high and the PCM senses a high signal voltage. When the fuel tank is empty, the sensor resistance is low and the PCM senses a low signal voltage. The PCM uses the signal circuit of the fuel level sensor in order to calculate the total remaining fuel (%) in the tank. The PCM sends the fuel level percent via the class 2 serial data circuit to the IPC in order to control the fuel gage. The fuel level information is also used for misfire and EVAP diagnostics

HOW CAN I SOLVE MY PROBLEM BY MY SAMSUNG WA1065D1 , it shows 1E? When I switch it on after a few seconds it shows 1E? Can u please help me?

WATER PRESSURE SWITCH ERROR - Display shows 1 E.

* Generated Frequency Signal of WATER LEVEL (WIL) SIW (KHz)

Normal Level = Abnormal W/L Frequency
Low Level = 30.00 Khz
High Level = 15.00 Khz

If the same signal is detected for more than 5 seconds, it is a PRESSURE SWITCH Error. When this error occurs the drain pump will operate for 3 min. and the display will show 1 E indicating a pressure switch error.

Fuel remaining display goes off and CO shows up. What causes this. Also the miles remaining to empty is never right. It just starts running up and down.

replace the fuel level indicator in the fuel tank. on some cars fuel pump and level indicator are the same unit and some they are two different assemblies. either way you will need to drop the fuel tank to get to them.

2000 Silverado fuel gauge shows empty at fill up. At 3/4 or less it will sometimes indicate correctly then fall to empty causing the "low fuel" indicator to display.

Bad fuel level sensor. Depending on miles go ahead and replce fuel pump its got to come out anyway to replace level sensor.

Tank is full of fuel but display shows empty and orange indicator stays on

Your fuel level sensor is disconnected or broken. The sensor itself is in the gas tank, the connector plugs into the bottom. Part number 16147675547 fuel level sensor $184.75

Fuel level low symbols still shows

It's either a faulty tank sensor or a faulty fuel indicator light. Get the fuel indicator light checked first.
