How do i fix fridge that is warm on refrigerator but ok on freezer

I'm not sure what you mean by regasing ,but, what I believe is happening is when you turned it off to do (regasing) , the evaporator defrosted to a certain extent and when you turned it back on air was able to move across the evaporator until it frosted over again. I'd say that you have a bad defrost circuit component. Probably the defrost element. Need model #,schematic and meter to troubleshoot

Have a ge model # GTH21KBXAWW. The freezer works fine. The bottom half does not keep cold.

Freezer is cold but refrigerator is warm
  1. Evaporator coils are frosted over
If your issue is that the freezer is cold but the refrigerator is not as cold as it should be, the first step is to check the defrost system for problems. A key indicator in determining if perhaps you have a refrigeration defrost problem is visible frost on the evaporator coils. If your unit has frost you will need to check your defrost heater assembly, the defrost control, and the evaporator fan motor for a malfunction. Replace any erroneous parts as necessary.
  1. Damper
If your issue is that the freezer is cold but the refrigerator is not as cold as it should be, the damper door could be broken or jammed. The damper is a door that opens and closes to allow cool air to flow from the freezer into the refrigerator unit, and if it fails to operate correctly, not enough cold air will enter the refrigerator to keep it cold. The damper can be replaced if it is no longer operating properly.
  1. Thermistor
If your issue is that the freezer is cold but the refrigerator is not as cold as it should be, the thermistor connected to the control board might be defective. The thermistor is a sensor that examines the temperature inside the unit. If the part is defective, the refrigerator could not cool properly.
  1. Temperature control board
If your issue is that the freezer is cold but the refrigerator is not as cold as it should be, the temperature control board could be at fault. The temperature control board distributes voltage to the fan motors and compressor to keep them functioning. This board is very often misdiagnosed as the culpable cause and it is recommended to proceed with the troubleshooting process of elimination prior to replacing this part.
  1. Defrost thermostat
Another issue that can cause your freezer to be cold while the refrigerator is not as cold as it should be is the defrost thermostat. In order for the defrost heater to activate to melt away any excessive frosting on the evaporator coils, the defrost thermostat must sense that the temperature is cold enough to activate the defrost heater. Without this continuous cycle, the frost will excessively build up on the coils and prevent proper air flow inside the unit. The defrost thermostat can be checked for continuity with an ohm meter; if it's not present, the thermostat will need to be replaced.
  1. Main control board
A possible cause for a freezer that's cold but refrigerator that's not as cold as it should be is the main control board. The main control board acts as a "brain" for the unit, controlling the defrost cycle, compressor, and run time. However, it is an uncommon cause for this issue. This board is very often misdiagnosed as the culpable cause and it is recommended to proceed with the troubleshooting process of elimination prior to replacing this part.

Friction ring assembly of remington model eleven

Examine the chain saw to verify that the chain is still attached to the sprocket. If any part of the chain is not on the sprocket the chainsaw will not cut correctly.

Check the tension of the chain. If the lower part of the chain drops away from the guide bar, you will need to increase the tension. Remove the shield on the side case and loosen the nuts on the guide bar with the wrench. Pull the guide bar to increase tension on the chain and then tighten the nuts.

Clean the chain if it appears dirty. A dirty chain will not cut as efficiently as a clean chain. Loosen the tension on the chain and then take the chain off of the guide bar. Soak the chain in a solvent, such as mineral spirits.

Examine the sprocket on the chain saw. If it appears worn, bent or out of pitch, a new sprocket will be needed.

Examine the chain to see if there are any damaged drive links. Replace the chain if too many of the drive links are damaged because the sprocket will not turn the chain.

Examine the guide bar to see if it appears crooked or is out of alignment. Remove the nuts from the guide bar by following Step 2. Take off the old guide bar and then install a new one.

Sharpen the chain if it looks shiny. The shine on the chain indicates that the steel that is underneath the chrome plating on the chain has worn away. Use a round metal file on the steel until there is a thin overhang of chrome over the cutting edge of the chain. This will restore the cutting edge

Roper brand, not that old--no ice maker--freezer ok, but frosts up--BUT a loud knock comes from the back, not constant and not all the time--if I turn the thermo, to get the bottom colder, it frosts up...

Is the frost on the evaporator cover in the freezer? If so, then you have a defrost problem ( bad defrost heater, defrost thermostat, or defrost timer/ Adaptive defrost control).Does the knock in back happen when the frig shuts off? If so its probably your compressor. Check you warranty.

Hello Mr Barnard

Welcome to fixya

You said, You have a zanussi fridge freezer combination, it is a frost free model, And you're developing lots of frost in the freezer which never used to happen and the fridge is not getting cold, some condensation does appear inside the fridge, it is 2years old.

Frost could mean a few things.
Is the freezer cold but the fridge not?
If so the freezer may be so full that the articles are covering the air vents in the back that share the cold air with the fridge.
I've have seen the freezers packed to the hilt!

More things to check.
Is the condenser in the back or under the front of the fridge. If it is under the front of the fridge you must remove the plastic grill`(The condenser is the thin black metal tubing that runs back and forth to make up your condenser). This needs to be free of dust and have air passing over and through it!
they sell refrigerator brushes for this at the hardware store.
I have had customers that never ran the brush under there ever and had 1 to 2 inches of dust and lint
under there between the tubes. After a few hours it was cool the next day it was cold!

The freon level pressure should be checked in case you have a leak.
The thermostat may be bad.

Let me know what works for you.

Whirlpool arc7612. Fridge not getting cold. Freezer obviously working as it frosts up despite being 'frost free'. Slight gap in door seal near top of door. Last time we had this happen I unplugged it for a...

You have to replace the door seal. The seal may be a mundane technology and it isn't the only technology making a refrigerator frost-free, but it is the most important one. Warm moist air enters through the gap in the door seal, condenses on cold surfaces and freezes. The frost interferes with airflow and prevents the system from keeping the fridge cold. Turning it off for a day allowed the frost to melt.
