Question about 2007 Ducati Monster S4Rs Testastretta
I would recommend having the dealer do this one. The idiosynicies of desmonic vale train is the shims for the opening & closing rockers. You will see the greatest wear in the 1st 6000 miles. If the clerances are not correct, your will need a new motor!! If you want to proceed. You will need a micrometer to check the shims. One you determine how much adjustment is required, by using a set of feeler gagues, you will have to "mic' your current shim to see what size you will need to bring it back into spec. A set of shims will cost between $125 to $175. This is best left to someone with "friends' who also need the service performed on thier bikes.
