Question about 2005 Benelli Velvet 150
Please please can someone tell me whether the engine out of a Benelli Velvet 250 (Yahama) will transfer into the my Yamaha Majesty 250. The Benelli engine is 2001 and my Majesty is 1996. You are my last hope before I take a chance and spend a lot of money - maybe for nothing?
Hi, Bruce_barnes after careful deliberation 4 out 5 Benelli Gods give this one a thumbs up, but just to be on the safe side you should give your local dealer's parts/service department a call to confirm. Good luck and have a nice day.

Bruce, take a few rough measurements from both engines. Measure at the frame mounting locations. If one location measures 6" and the same location on the other engine measures 7" then obviously there is a swap out problem. If the rough measurements appear to be very close it will likely work. The only way to know for sure is to try the swap. It may be possible to cut and relocate a mount or two to adapt the frame for the new engine. Just be sure the chain lines up with the rear sprocket.
