Sounds like your fouling the spark plug. When it cools down the carbon comes off the plug. I would suggest going to the next hotter plug.

97 civic wont crank or start in hot weather

Could be the battery or the starter. I would expect you to know if it was the battery so I'll comment on the starter. Not often, but sometimes the clearance between the starter armature and the magnet is so close that a little wear on the bearings will cause the armature to rub against the magnetic coil around it. This normally is first noticed when the car is hot. The armature has expanded from the heat and is touching the magnetic coil. This causes a very high amperage draw on the battery often to the point where the engine will not turn over.. When the car cools down, it works.. Bottom line - you may need a started.

Hi, my 97 chevy truck has intermittent problems. It runs fine most of the time but sometimes it wont start and the fuel pump wont kick in. But then a few minutes later when I try it, it runs. Sometimes...

You need to have a fuel pressure gauge to check it when it wont run. Take your fuel pump relay and switch it for the horn relay. Is the ground good for the fuel pump, the wire bolts on the frame. these had problems with the connector at the fuel tank, make sure they are in good conditon and dont look like they have been hot or melted.

Check the electronics in the distributor. Chevs are notorious for the electronics going bad inside of the distributor.

I have a ZX9R 97 B4 and on the whole she?s a great bike all be it for one problem ? starting. some days she starts no problems at all other days nothing ! in fact I?ve found that when it wont start I...

My old 84 GPZ was similar,
sometimes start straight away
sometime spin until the battery was flat.
occasionaly start just as you let the start button go.
roll start straight away.
I believe the battery was putting out enough amps to spin the bike over but the voltage was down to 11.5 volts, this wasnt enough for the electronic ignition which needed nearly 12v to fire.
The reason it would start as the button was released was a slight voltage rise while the engine was still turning and it would fire.
I cant explain why it wont start after charging

A new battery solved it, plus I ran some battery conditioned called INOX in the electrolyte.
I'm in Australia, not sure if you can get this product .
Your bike sounds like a similar problem, hope this helps

97 f-150 wont start sometimes when hot

Check for spark. Also listen for the fuel pump to kick on or spray starting fluid in the throttle body to see if it starts. If the fuel pump isn't kicking on then its your fuel pump and its located in the tank
