    Hi,

In Yamaha R6 especially 2005-2007 there is an error about the Exup system (it seems to block). It influence the engine running at low RPM. Over 5000-6000 rpm is goes OK. This blocking error indicates by the waring engine control lamp on display panel, however after keeping the throtle steady for 2-3 seconds over 6000 rpm the engine runds smoothly and the inducator turns out.

It is probably some low life period of the Exup system.

Renew the park plugs and check the diagnostic section in your dashboard for fault registered (need to go to a dealer's workshop)

Hi,
That looks like a REED VALVE leak.
If your 2 stroke kept coming out from the carb air intake and as you say that sometimes a back fire in the exhaust.

Check these....
  • Reed valve
  • Crank oil seal ( there might be air leak in the block )
  • Exhaust pipe ( might be already blocked )

Hope that helps you out!

Yamaha YZ426 not starting after head gasket repair. bike was starting easy before repair New timing chain new spark plug, everything done by the manual.triple checked before assembling and still get...

Well, the first thing to check is compression.
If the valves are miss-timed that will affect compression.
If the gasket is not seated correctly, that will affect compression.

So compression can tell you a lot.

My first suspicion would be valve timing.
You could possibly have damaged the spark plug wire

Try a little starting fluid. If it starts easily with starting fluid, then the problem is probably associated with the carburetor. (If it has a vacuum-opened fuel petcock, there could be a small hole in that vacuum line, for instance.)

Gears are not catching after second gear and the rpms go down and up its as if the bike ''stutters'' after 2nd gear.

Sounds like you have a bent shifter fork that is not engaging 3rd gear. The stuttering is probably you rev limiter cutting in and out.

Suzuki gn125 wont start. checked carb, cdi, coil. got compression and spark but it wont fire. timing been checked. i have ran out of ideas.

Check the valve adjustment. If a valve is standing open just a little, the compression will be too low to start the engine. Check fuel delivery by dribbling a little gasoline into the carb and try starting the bike. If it starts and runs for a second or two, you're not getting fuel into the cylinders. Check you carb again.
