Check if the carbs are in sync,check all feul lines and carbs are clean ,are running standard pipe ? if sports pipe you will need to rejet the carbs dont ride the the bike til you have done this ,you run the risk of breaking the engine which will be painfull to you and the bike.good luck

My bike looses power in high gears

I don,t think the chain could cause this , try lubing the chain with oil and taking it for a ride see if that makes a difference , when was your fuel filter last changed or your air filter cleaned or changed.

Why does chain keep getting loose its been tightened twice and i have had the bike six months and yes the nut is at right touch on tightening

the lock nut is not tight enought and your not adjusting the adjusters the same causeingthe wheel to be cocked to one side and allowing it to come loose over time.

Not geting a charge back 2 my batterie

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

No charge to the battery could be caused by:
  • faulty / loose / corroded / burned terminals / connectors from stator to regulator (most likely);
  • faulty rectifier / regulator combo (likely);
  • faulty stator (least likely).

To determine which, initially visually inspect the wiring and its connectors from the stator to the rectifier/regulator combo. Thereafter, a DVM/VOM is required to measure the AC voltage output of the stator (~30VAC), the DC voltage output of the regulator (~14.5VDC @ 4000RPM) and engine off battery voltage of ~12.5VDC. It maybe to your advantage to have the battery load tested as well.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Yzf 600r Wont hold a charge? does it have something to do with the magneto or generator?I bought the bike back from a friend and he wrecked it and put a new generator cover on so he changed everything over...

It's not charging, or the battery won't hold a charge? Get a multimeter and test the generator with the bike running, should be 13.5-14.5 volts. If you get this, you need a battery, if not need to find the bad component in the charging system.

Power Loss at around 3000 rpm

are the carbs balanced correctly and are you sure that all of the jets are clean. if not try it, it might work. sluggish throttle response is normally to do with the carbs.
