How do i put the camchaft in time on a 2006 crf 100

The timing marks are on the gears. You will see tiny little mark or arrow. One on each gear. They have to be pointing at each other to be timed.

    camshaft has a mark on it. The mark has to be perfectly straight pointing at the chain.

2004 CRF 100 shift lever seal leak


Yes. Once you remove the engine cover and expose the shaft and seal, carefully pry the old seal out with a small flat blade screwdriver. Apply some grease to the inside diameter of the new seal, slide it over the shift shaft (clean it first) - and press it in place.

yes sir the seal hole should not be oblong, was the bearing bad when you took it out? sounds like the shaft has worn out the hole.

2006 CRF 150f - bent shift shaft. How do I fix this? It is leaking some oil as well...


U have to pull the motor ,split the case replace the shaft and seal and reassemble.Get a book

just put the piston at the top then if singel cam motor put the cam lobes facing down there should be a line or dot on the cam sprocket which must line up with the head

04 crf 250r.... the head has a chattering noise when running


Any chance the valve spring has collapsed? Cam shaft thrust washers missing? Cam shaft bearing gone bad?

Honda CRF 100 timing


Turn the motor over clockwise until the punch mark on the gear lines up with the arrow mark on the side case. Check to be sure that the cam lobes are facing to the rear of the bike, if they are pointing toward the front keep going until they face back and the punch mark aligns up with the mark on the case.ab798e0.jpg

Check the cam gear to make sure the two marks on the gear are level with the surface of the head.

SET TIMING ON 2.4 TWIN CAM 1999 MALIBU


bring the piston no 1 on the top position check the cam shaft si moving freelyon the outer side of the shaft there are 2 gear with 14mm bolts and 1 extra whole, put a long bolt in the empty space and try to turnthe engine the bolt will go further in the space than the timming is set put the chain on that should do

on the cam shaft there is a dowel it sopose to be up while crank shaft pulley is aline to 0 in most case damper rubber on crank shaft pulley shifts and cant get timming line up. in that case you get #1 piston up make sure its # 1, then on cam shaft put #1 int. and exh. lobes opposite so int. and exh. are close ,when engine turns exh. opens
