Question about 1998 Yamaha V Star Custom
Greetings, My yamaha V-star 98 custom has lost the back lights due to a short circuit now the motorcycle has to have electical jumper because there is no electricity going to the gas pump,
What relays if any showed i look into? please let me have the relay look type or number if any.The motorcycle does not seem to shut of through the original shut off switch after this PLease help.
Please check the fuses first before jumping into relays. It would be highly unlikely for a relay to fail before a fuse did because of a short. When checking the fuses, do NOT trust your eyes, use a test light or multi meter to check for volage on both legs or continuity through the fuse. If you had a short, it should have blown the fuse.

You should purchase a new battery and replace the fuses
