SOURCE: I have an 01' acura cl s. the seat heaters in both

The most likely cause of your problem is the heater elements in your seats. They usually fail after a number of years due to the high heat and flexing of people getting in and out of the seats.

SOURCE: seats will not recline, is this an electrics

davala1,
if u hv the right tools, then it can be done. Unscrew the 4 nuts underneath and the seat is detached. but be careful with all the plastic covers and also the SRS equipment fitted by the side. The costs are subjective depending on the workshop place u send. The parts are still easily accessible. If DIY, then ensure the alignment between right and left is adjusted evenly on refitting.

Does it make any noise at all? If it doesn't make any noise then you will need to check your power and ground feed at the recline motor.

2001 Durango front drivers power seat lost power and what move what is the problem?

If the seat has recline and forward, backward controls and you can do nothing at all. Then I would say you may have blown a fuse. I would check the fuse box. If you lost only recline or only forward & backward then it may be a bad motor. It can also be a motor if you lost both but both motors going bad at the same time is unlikely.

Horn and power seats quit working. maxi-fuse extremely hot. pulled it out and re-inserted after it cooled down. fixed the problem temporarily (a day or so). swapped that maxi-fuse with the one above it...

which maxi fuse gets hot ? # fuse , plus amps The power seats uses a 30 amp circuit breaker ,not a fuse . The horn gets power from the same circuit breaker . . Sounds like something is drawing to much current. Do you know how to use a amp meter to test current flow . Disconnect componets till draw goes away ? How to use a wiring diagram to pin point areas in a circuit to test ?
Is there corrosion on the pins where the seat circuit breaker plugs into ? Reach under your seats an see if one of the seat motors is hot .

The left and the right power seat system consist of the following components:
• The seat switches
• The seat relay modules
• The 4 reversible motors:
- The front vertical motor
- The rear vertical motor
- The horizontal motor
- The recline motor
These 4 motors operate independently of each other.
When the entire seat switch is pushed to the FORWARD position, the forward input of the of the seat relay is grounded.
The seat relay module supplies battery positive voltage (B+) with a ground to the horizontal motor, in response to this input. In order to drive the seat forward, the motor runs until the switch is released.
The BACK position works similar to the FORWARD position with the exception that the voltage polarity supplied by the seat relay module is reversed causing the motor to run in the opposite direction. This action drives the seat backward.
These recline switches operate similar but independently:

The seat relay module could be bad , If you don't know how to do automotive electrical circuit testing it mite be a good idea for you to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop.
Could have diagnostic trouble codes stored as well .

Fuse. Check your fuse under the dash and look for "power seat" fuse. Replace it with the same number. Do not replace with bigger numbers or you might torch the wiring and maybe the car.
