SOURCE: Battery drains after 3 days of no use

I have the same bike and it has a design flaw. If you leave the key turned on it will drain the battery very quickly. If you just turn the key off every time you get off the bike it won't drain it.

I would say that your bike may be running a little lean. I usually replace the jets on all my bikes as soon as I get them as the emissions requirements mandate that the manufacturers pass stringent emissions tests prior to the dealer selling them. Some bikes wont even idle or run, especially off road bikes from places like California. and in these cases you must re jet it is a must! I even throw away or drill larger holes into my air cleaner cover.

Good Luck!

SOURCE: CHARGE BATTERY, THEN START BIKE UP. AFTER RIDING

Sounds like you are not getting a charge from the alternator. You need to check battery voltage with a meter with the engine off, key off. Then again with it running, and the voltage should increase. If not, it's not charging.

Under the small black panel to the left and below the instrument cluster. The main 30 amp system fuse is located beside the battery. there should also be a spare fuse there. Do not replace or Jump this fuse untill you find out why it has blown.

Your voltage regulator is bad. She is over-charging. From your description, when this happens the charging system is putting to much voltage/amps back into the battery. The regulator senses battery voltage and then cuts back the amount of alternator output.

Bike VFR 800 - 2006. Bought with 2000 Kms on the clock March 2010. Went well until 6000kms service done by Honda dealer. At 8000kms started leaking oil from filter. Checked tightness and found to be...

There are a number of simlpe things that you can do in this situation.1) only use Honda filters,I find some of the after market ones poor.2)Check the seat where the oil filter sits for burrs or nasties.3) Are you overfilling your oil, this will cause the oil pressure to go sky high and leak where it can.4) are you 100% positive that is coming from the filter ring,Many tines it comes from above the filter and the extra burns off misleading you into believing its the filter.I just went through the same thing with my bike and it tuned out to be a base gasket. You may have to strip away some plastic on the bike to get a good look.Good luck and good riding.

My vfr 800 battery went flat after riding it 100 kilometers, the battery is only 2 months old.

You need to replace the voltage regulator. That's the first thing I would do.

Hope this helps.
