Question about 1982 Honda GL 1100 Gold Wing
My question is, can this be done without pulling the engine? Some of the books I've read say you can and some say you can't.
Step 1.) Remove negative battery terminal.
Step 2.) Remove electrical connection on starter.
Step 3.) Remove shifter lever screw gently pry the shifter open a little then slide off.
Step 4.) Remove top screw from starter, then remove bottom screw from starter.
Step 5.) Pull starter forward toward the front of the motorcycle. You may have to gently tap on the starter with a rubber mallet.
