Question about 2000 Harley Davidson FLHR-FLHRI Road king
Turns over and when the starter button is released it backfires i am getting spark to both plugs and getting fuel, started having this problem 1 month ago but it would start..
Take the cover off the ignition and see if the backing plate came lose and put the bike out of time.
if it is not even trying to start when you are cranking it. then it has to be a timing issue.

You have fuel and spark. Its an intake leak around your manifold that goes into your jugs. Your sucking to much air in. problem was a month ago and got worse as the leak got worse take off carb..remove manifold replace the two rubber gaskets.
