My Daihatsu Terios kid 4wd kissmark 2006 is consuming too much fuel at 7-9km per litre. What's problem and remedy

There could be several reasons why your Daihatsu Terios is consuming too much fuel. Here are some possible causes and remedies.Driving habits: Your driving habits could be the cause of the high fuel consumption. Aggressive driving, speeding, and rapid acceleration can all increase fuel consumption. To remedy this, try driving more conservatively and avoid sudden stops and starts. Tire pressure: Low tire pressure can increase fuel consumption. Make sure your tires are properly inflated to the recommended pressure levels. Air filter: A dirty air filter can cause the engine to work harder and burn more fuel. Replace your air filter regularly to keep it clean and functioning properly. Fuel injectors: Dirty or clogged fuel injectors can cause the engine to burn more fuel. Have your fuel injectors cleaned or replaced if necessary. Oxygen sensor: A malfunctioning oxygen sensor can cause the engine to burn more fuel than necessary. Have your oxygen sensor checked and replaced if needed. Spark plugs: Worn or dirty spark plugs can cause the engine to run inefficiently and burn more fuel. Replace your spark plugs regularly to keep them functioning properly. It's important to have your vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic to determine the root cause of the high fuel consumption. By addressing the underlying issue, you can improve your vehicle's fuel efficiency and save money on gas in the long run.

I have 2.4 liter Audi A6 car gasoline. The consumption now is 25 liters per 100 Km which is too much, it must be 15.4 liters per 100 km How can I solve this problem?

Have you changed the plugs, changed the air filter, etc. Many times a clogged air filter will kill the mileage. Have you had a compression test to see if it is just wore out? All sorts of things need to be checked to answer this.

Hoe do I fix high fuel consumption in my car?

IN order to improve fuel consumption you must make the engine run more efficiently. here are the most important ways.
typical maintenance. (check the manual)

1. check air in tires
2. oil and oil filter change
3. spark plugs change (TUNE UP)
4. air filter change

you personally can do most of these things. go to local walmart and get most of these items. very easy.

good luck.

I owned 1300 cc belta car , the fuel consumption rate is 8.5 km/l in urban setting . Is it normal consumption rate? I think it a little high rate for 1300 cc

commenting on fuel consumption is like asking "how long should a piece of string be?". The variables to be considered are tyre pressures, size of tyres, width of tyres, tread patterns, wheel alignment, loads carried by the vehicle, climate temperature and conditions, driving techniques, traffic conditions, speeds travelled, use of gears to maintain correct torque range from the engine, electrical loads required from the alternator and terrain conditions
Some of the things that you can do to improve fuel economy include selecting neutral when stopped as this reduces the load on the engine at idle and the fuel setting is less, having your foot on the clutch loads up the thrust bearings on the crankshaft. An automatic is always trying to drive when stopped so by placing it in neutral when stationary allows the engine to idle at a lower fuel setting. run on standard size tyres and increase the air pressure around 4psi make for less rolling resistance from the tyres so the economy will be improved. Carrying as little as is necessary, (That includes driver and passenger weights) reduces the load on the engine--more economy.Using a cruise control were possible or reading the traffic conditions so that vast speed changes are required less so will improve economy. experiment with different octane rated fuels ( be wary of e-fuels) While you may be reading manufacturers sales rubbish about the expect fuel consumption of a particular vehicle remember that it is sales talk as economy is heavily dependant on engine/vehicle design and driver technique. Basically there is no one single thing to consider for fuel economy but ultimately it all comes down to the driver.

What is the best mitsubishi lancer 2000 / 1600 cc motor gas consumption ???? last time i checked it was 400 k.m per 41 liter . is it good or it could be better ?!?!?

the factory mileage for fuel should be 7.2 litres per 100km but the fuel consumption will change as the car gets older so its only normal but you could improve on your fuel consumption by tuning the car

hope this helps XD

My dodge neon 2000. travel 4-5 KM in one litre ,is that normal ornot ?

No, this is not normal, But depends on your driving style and road conditions, You are currently getting about 10 miles per gallon and you should be getting almost twice that amount, Have a full tuneup done to improve some of this and have it checked for fuel leakage.

How to improve the fuel efficiency?

my 2 cents -

1. You didn't specify your exact model, on this site you'll fond your answer - http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymodel/1989_Toyota_Camry.shtml

2. There are a few ways to do this, here's one -
- Fill your gas tank to the very top.
- Write down your odometer or reset you trip meter.
- Drive your car till it's time to fill it up again.
- When it's time to fill you tank, fill it to the very top (preferd in the same station, in the same pump).
- divide the number of miles (or kilometers) you drive, by the amount of gas you filled, This is of course only true for this gas tank, fuel consumption is effected by many things, load, driver, type of miles you do (city or hoghway), etc..

3. Service your car regularly, make sure tire pressure is correct, don't drive like you are racing.

Good luck,
Eitan.
