Question about 2003 Yamaha YZ 250
My 2003 YZ250 doesn't seem to be shiftig through the gears. Just bought off line last month. Had to rebuild the top end due to a burnt piston, seized in the cylinder. Is there some way to check if it is actually changing gears without a complete teardown?
Sounds simple, but make sure your shift peg isn't worn at the splines. some times it will pull it to the shift point then it will slip.
Aside from that you have to do the complete tear down to get into the gearcase. check your oil make sure its clean.
