Henry, first need to determine if it's the actual engine that is knocking. Other accessories (water pump, steering pump, etc) could cause a knock. If the ECM knock sensor picks up a knock, regardless of where it originated from, will start to make timing and fuel adjustments which may cause it to hesitate or "sputter". You can take off the drive belt and start the engine. This will be the tale. If you hear the knocking, it's obviously in the engine and could be as bad as crank bearings or even the torque converter. Have you had any work done recently? If there is no knocking when the engine is running without the serpentine belt, you should now be able to narrow down the bad component by rotating each drive pulley until you find the damage..

SOURCE: It makes a squeaking noise when I turn the wheel

Sounds like you might need ball joints. Lift the vehicle up and turn the wheels by hand to check for the squeeking. The best thing to do is if you have another person listen while you turn the wheel, that's even better.

SOURCE: acceleration problem

possibly camshaft position sensor in the distributor, or weak fuel fump starts acting up when warm, or throttle position sensor. heat has a effect on sensors and electrical components in some weird and hard to find ways.

How do you replace an oil pump on 2002 Chevy trailblazer

The engine is shot. Throwing an oil pump on it , is throwing away money and time. Oil pumps rarely go bad. Pull the oil cap, if the is sludge on it, it is way worse inside the engine. You'll clean it and slap on a pump. Only to find out the crank bearings are worn out and it starts knocking. Change the oil, add oil additive to it and drive it till it dies. Then scrap it or replace the engine.

2003 Chevy Trailblazer V-6 4WD. I just got the oil changed. I think I made a mistake and told them to put in 10w-30 instead of the 5w-30 that the vehicle was used to. Since then, my SUV has been sputtering...

CHECK YOUR OIL DIP STICK MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH OIL IN THE CRANKCASE.YOUR ENGINE CALL FOR 7 QUARTS OF OIL. IF YOU HAVE THE INLINE 6 CYLINDER.CHECK OIL LEVEL ON DIP STICK.YOU SHOULD BE AT FULL MARK.AND NOT ON THE LOW MARK.IF SO YOU NEED ADD LITTLE MORE OIL TO GET TO THE FULL MARK.YOU CAN USE 10W 30 FOR SPRING AND SUMMER WEATHER. 5W 30 FOR COLD WEATHER COLD CLIMATE.I RUN 10W 30 YEAR ROUND IN ALL MY NEW CHEVY AND OLDSMOBILE VECHICLE HAD NO PROBLEMS.IF OIL LEVEL CORRECT YOU COULD HAVE FUEL PROBLEMS.COULD HAVE STOPPED UP FUEL FILTER, BAD GAS,

Po410 code on a chevy trailblazer

The secondary air injection comes from an electric air pump (replaces the old eng. driven smog pump), it seldom runs, but when the car is 1st started you should hear if for about one minute, kinda sounds like a muffled hair dryer. The most common issue is the hoses get knocked off, 2nd is the electric motor failing.
