I Have a 1999 GSX 750 FX, this problem started a few days ago and has gotten to the point where I cant ride it. I have made no modifications to the bike before the problem arose. I can start the bike and it revs well when in neutral, when I try and drive the bike, as long as I keep the revs around tickover it runs, as soon as I crack the throttle it slows and dies. However if I put the choke on, I can ride it around quite happily with the engine running at about 3.5-4000 RPM, but again if I crack the throttle, it starts to choke out and die. A few months ago it would not start at all, the fault was due to water in the carb floats( due to a kinked fuel cap water drain, which was sorted out), could this be an extension to that problem with more water in the floats?
any help would be gratefully recieved.
Needs the carbs cleaned out, and possibly some new spark plugs. If it has been over 4K since the plugs were changed, they need replacing also.
