Question about 2003 Honda CBR 600 F(4)i
Run wide on a corner and came into contact with bad gravel patch, sent me straight when i should be turning. in fear of going down i didnt lean too hard or brake hard as i was now on loose gravel. hit a reflective corner marker and went down on the right side, slid into a ditch and it stood back up and went dead staight into a tree standing upright at about 90kmh
Bent the forks, slight bend in the rim, completly wiped out the headlights and top headlight fairing and damaged all other fairings. All electrics are fine both headlights still work bike still kicks over and runs fine
Where can i get forks from? can i straighten them or will this weaken them? rim is only slightly bent and can be re rolled... where can i find replica or aftermarket fairings and a second hand headlight assembly
Or should i bother? rebuild as track bike? has only 30000k i feel it is a bit of a waste...
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
You should look to eBay for cheap used parts.Don't re-straightthe forks if they have any distinguished bumb on their surface.Only if the bend they have is smooth and if only you cannot feel anything by rubbing your finger against their surface.
