Changing the exhaust pipe (expantion chamber) to a pipe that give more low end toque. Most aftermarket pipes work on the to end of the power range. Or You would need to have the cylinder ported.

check kick down band adjustment,to tight,or lose,DON'T, over losen, a part inside the transmission will drop out inside transmission causing disasembly to be needed, check linkage first, could also be sticking servo which works the kick down band

2002 ninja 250 idels good runs bad with no power band and sounds like its running on two cylinders but both exhaust pipes get hot,it just doesnt sound like a ninja should,i put new plugs with no change

The power band on a 2002 Ninja 250 does not kick in till you hit about 5000 RPM. The newer 2008 and up 250's kick in about 3000 RPM. There is a website devoted to the Ninja 250 that might give your more background into the motorcycle: ninjette.org You may want to replace your spark plug caps they may be robbing of the spark you need at take off. They simply unscrew off of the end of the wires. They should read 5000 OHM's no higher , no lower. If you purchase new NGK brand plug caps they will only cost about $5 each.

Loss of power, when going in reverse feels like it struggles a little bit, "kicks" when i step on the gas

CHANGE TRANSMISSION FILTER AND FLUID.IF ALREADY DONE.YOUR MANUAL SHIFT LINKAGE NEED ADJUSTMENT.OR REVERSE BAND NEED ADJUSTMENT OR WORN OUT. DEPEND ON TRANSMISSION TYPE NOT ALL FORD TRANSMISSIONS REVERSE BAND APPLY IN REVERSE.YOU COULD HAVE WORN REVERSE CLUTCH DRIVE PLATES OR LEAKING PISTONS SEALS.

When im in 5th gear and the powerband kicks in the bike shifts back in 4th

keep your foot clear of the shift lever. It cannot shifton its own because the gear train is under a load and more so when the power band kicks in.

Kick pedal for rock band dosent work

I acutually snapped my rock band kick pedal in half and discovered alot about it. The way the kick pedal actually works is with a little magnet thats under the orange part. if your orange bar piece fell of or anything check that or take a magnet and tap the top of the kick pedal near were the wire comes out and if it reacts on the game then theres nothing wrong with the kick pedal just check the little magnet make sure its there. After I broke my kick pedal i went out and cut a piece of diamond plate metal in the shape of a foot and basically made another pedal piece and welded bigger magnet on it and now it reacts on time and alot better it seems cause its heavier. Hope this helps!!
