I have a engine code p0505 on a 2006 harley flhx, what is that mean?

P0505: Loss of idle speed control.

Does it idle fast or rough? Fluctuates up and down?

Best guess: Intake manifold leak or your IAC (idle air control) needs cleaned, your idle speed needs adjusted.

Everything I can think of:
Bad/carboned up IAC, vacuum leak, leaking injector(s), contaminated fuel, TPS off ( throttle cable/TPS needs adjusted), battery voltage less than 9 volts, overfilled crankcase. VSS (Vehicle speed sensor) defective, it will disable idle speed control. Loss of battery power to to pin number 31? (sorry no manual handy for pin number) on the ECM.

Why does my 2005 dyna super glide not idle

Running fuel/air too lean or maybe bad spark plug or wire. Just make sure wires are tight. Might be fouled.

When i start the 06 harley fxdi it dies very shortly. i can keep it running with the throttle open or carb cleaner. If i let idle on its on, it will backfire than cut off, can anyone give me some...

If the bike is fuel injected (FXDI), you need to take it back to the dealer and have them take a look at it. There is no "user adjustable" settings on the bike.
