Question about 2001 Harley Davidson XL 1200 C Sportster Custom
The oil is leaking around the heads. and my motor is getting really hot. any diagnoses for my problem
You may have nearly blown the head gaskets, causing some oil to leak out of the cylinder heads so the gaskets will need replaced. Don't try to start the engine again as this make the situation worse because it has lost the pressure it needs to work properly. Since this pressure is gone the whole engine is running too fast than it needs to do causing it too get really hot and the heat generated from the engine is escaping from the leaky head gasket also making it become hotter.
I hope this is of some help to you.
