Exhaust note changed and performance dropped off

The problem developed while on the roll,the smooth acceleration went away and it began to feel like it was always lugging down. The exhaust sound also changed, thoughts comments brilliant suggestions

I looked at buying a real nice 1100 but it felt the same way a little slugguse like a putting i ask my mechanic friend told me it sounds like dirty jets to bad i really liked it too but paying all that money i just want to ride not fix

When folk say the exhaust has been replaced they usually mean a part of the exhaust has been changed, or two parts or even three but rarely do they mean the whole thing has been changed including the cat.
It is not unusual for a cat to become partially blocked and reduce performance.

A restriction to exhaust gas flow is quite distinctive because engines start and run fairly normally and seem to have nothing wrong whatsoever but performance is poor.

I suggest that is worth looking into...

How long since a tune-up? Are there any applicable trouble codes? Some of the national brand auto stores will check codes for free. If you want to check codes, yourself, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader.

Does pop come from the exhaust or intake?

03 GMC Yukon transmission clunk at idle


2005 Yukon XL 1500 2wd 252,000 miles
It developed a noise like a can full of rocks slowly rolling
It only did it in neutral or park with engine running.
Putting in gear would stop it.
Turned out to be a loose filter element in the transmission.
At least that's what I was told by my mechanic.
Solved the noise though

TPS throttle position sensor might need adjustment or the catlic converter in the exhaust needs replacing as its not leting the exhaust out freely.

When you give it gas it wants to pop through the carb. have tried rejetting carb it has a 48 in now. it has done this sense I first bought it back in 02. only one I have now change is the polit jet.


Ok it you're bike is a Twin cam, try going to a #50, especially if you've changed the exhaust system to a free flowing exhaust. Then check the accelerator pump diaphragm. If this diaphragm has a small hole in it, the pump shot will be weak. Also, make sure there is no slack in the accelerator pump system. Make certain that when you move the throttle the slightest bit, the accelerator pump responds. On most carburetor equipped bikes, you can't just snap the throttle open, you roll it on. If you want instant response out of your engine, you're going to have to make a LOT of high performance modifications in it. A Harley-Davidson engine was a top performing engine back in the 60's but with the improved designs of today, it's now just a cruiser, not a racing bike.

My printer has stopped printing the letters onto the dvd properly


1. Remove lid/top
2. Move blue lever left or right to unlock ribbon roll
3. Loosen ribbon or tighten as needed -
NOTES: If ribbon roll is too tight it will show wrinkles; it should look smooth if positioned correctly; if too tight it will not print portions of some letters; keep re-positioning if this does not work after first try.
4. Use flat-head screw driver to adjust front uptake (used) ribbon-roll as needed to make it smooth too. Lift out & re-position, if you need to.

Hi, i have problem with kawasaki KVF750 brute force 2008,


sounds like could be exhaust problem. do anything new to it lately? also what kind of gas are you running and what kind of oil and tranny fluid. Check battery terminals make sure they are secure tightly.

Power problem


there is no neutral on a CVT system but if it's not going thriugh it's auto transmissiom properly or smoothly it will be the six little roller weight worn and having flats on them, change them, it's cheap as chips. variator thay they sit in could be worn but most likely just the rollers, as the engine speed changes they move to change the gearing but if not round anymore they can't roll. metal cylinders with a plastic cover
