I have a 93 yamaha fzr600 will not start cant even jump start what is the problem

Hi, John and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Bank angle sensor tripped and ignition/light key switch not cycled to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position.
5. Faulty starter button/switch.
6. Faulty jiffy stand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
7. Security alarm needs a reset.
8. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
9. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
10. Electric starter shaft pinion gear is not engaging or over-running starter clutch slipping.

I have a 92 fzr 600 when i engage my clutch amd shift into first it dies like the clutch isnt engaged. i checked the clutch cable and it seems to be working fine

With the engine not running can you select 1st gear pull in the clutch lever and push the bike with no difficulty, if you cant, it may be the clutch plates have become stuck together, this can occure from standing for long periods, if you can push the bike it may be the neutrol safety switch, or the side stand safety switch have become faulty, and cutting the bike out as a precaution

1994 yamaha fzr 600. the bike starts fine and runs ok but while riding the bike doesnt take full throttle just bogges out and wont pick up speed

Hi, Jay32769 tuning your carburetor is fairly simple once you understand the basic principals. You engine is a simple airbox sucking air in and blowing it out, it is finely tuned at the factory for maximum performance once you upset that delicate balance by changing air filters, camshafts or exhaust systems your performance may go down the and the engine may run poorly, you need to compensate the air-fuel mixture in the carburetor in order for the engine to run smoothly and at peak performance. If you are running multi carburetors you need to sync them first and make sure your air cleaner element is clean and dry. Here is how and where you compensate trouble:
1. Your air/fuel mixture ***** manages your idle.
2.. Your slow speed jet manages 0-1/4 throttle opening.
3. Your jet needle c-clip position manages 1/4-3/4 throttle opening.
4. Your main jet manages 3/4-wide open throttle.
If you are running lean, spark plug electrode color is white, engine runs hot and feels like it is starving for fuel you need to go up on the jet size or move the c-clip down one notch. If you are running rich, spark plug color is black or dark gray, engine runs cool, and bogs down when accelerating you need to go down on jet size or move the c-clip up one notch. When your carburetor is properly tuned for maximum performance your spark plug electrode will be a light tan color like coffee with cream. If you prefer fuel economy over performance you can go down on main jet sizes until a satisfactory level of lower performance is acceptable versus MPH, your spark plug color will be whiter and your engine will run warmer. These tuning adjustments will only make improvements if your intake and exhaust system have no air leaks or sealing issues and the entire electrical system is in proper working order and you have no mechanical issues. My 1996 Yamaha FZR 600 won't start. The lights turn on, but when I hit the start button, all I hear is a fast clicking sound. Maybe from the digital ignition box. I have tried jumping it from a car...

sounds like the battery to me, have it checked by a sparky, they dont give you much warning before they **** themselves, I had to replace mine only a few months ago

Fzr600 91 model power keeps dying when light on

Are you saying that the battery still discharges when you run with the lights on?
Assuming that the battery itself is good (has it been replaced?) then you may have a problem with the stator.

Start by measuring the voltage across the battery with the engine running and with the lights on - if it is less than 13.5V, then there is still a problem with the charging circuit.
If it does measure that (or better) then your battery is unable of sustaining a charge and should be replaced

You can find some helpful daignostics in this personally authored guide
http://www.triumphrat.net/speed-triple-forum/104504-charging-system-diagnostics-rectifier-regulator-upgrade.html - it applies to any motorcycle witha similar 3 phase generator system.

Good Luck!
