Hello, wheelies mm not good for your gearbox or clutch, 1st off is the gearbox working OK, does it jump out of 2nd gear under hard acceleration? then we can move on from this point,

2004 triumph Daytona 600.... will not start all it does when you push the start button is click. Have checked all 4 relays under seat and all grounds. Battery shows 12.2 volts and 166 cranking amps. Please...

If you check that is not an electric problem, and is not the batery, the problem should be from the starting motor. Try to start the bike by selecting the 2nd gear and pull, take a ride, till the bike is heat and try again to start the bike with the button, if the problem persists then you should change the starting motor. Before you change the starting motor, change the starting relay, is cheap and probably can solve your problem too.

I own a triumph 2005 daytona 650.could anyone tell me if the engine light, flashing oil display and oil light being apparent, is normal when turning the key,not actually starting it

Not sure about the 650, but on my 04 Daytona 600, is does the same thing, this is the engine check lights, and oil low lights being checked. IF you tried to start the bike it wouldnt, until this sefl test is complete.

Hope this helps.

How do I tighten chain on 2004 daytona triumph 600

Good Afternoon. To Adjust the chain:

1. Position the bike on its stand, or up on paddock stands if you have them.
2. Loosen the rear wheel spindle nut (see diagram below)
3. Slacken the adjuster locknuts on each side of the swinging arm
4. Moving both adjusters by an equal amount, turn the adjuster bolts clockwise to increase chain free-movement and anit-clokcwise to reduce chain free-movement.

Important - Ensure that the wheel spoindle blocks on both sides of the bike reamin in contact with the adjusters through this process.

5. When the correct amount of chaiin free-movement has been set, push the wheel into form contact with the adjuster. Tighten both adjuster locknuts, and the rear wheel spindle.

Triumph Daytona 600 will not turn over

Hi, Jordan_x_tur before testing any electrical component in the Starting System it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage, the battery is faulty and must be replaced. AGM type batteries fall into this scenario more so than lead acid batteries.
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter.
4. Bank angle sensor needs a reset or is faulty.
5. FOB battery low or dead.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand, clutch, neutral safety switch.
9. Security alarm needs a reset.
10. Starter relay, solenoid, starter have failed or circuit wiring faulty.
11. Starter armature or field coils have failed.
12. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
13. The electric starter is working but starter clutch has failed.
14. Check for engine trouble codes.

Have to hold clutch to keep bike from dieing

clutch plate adjusment or cable adjustment, it sounds like the clutch is staying engaged, try loosening the cable on the clutch until there is lots of slack init and try to start the bike, if it jerks forward then you are going to have to adjust/replace the internal clutch plates hope this helps

Where can I find an exploded diagram of the rear spindle of my daytona 600, to show me what spacers go where. After having a rear tyre replaced, I now have a knocking sound, but only when using throttle,...

If it goes away when you pull the clutch in then I would think it something to do with the engine but i could be wrong there. Can you put the bike on a jack and put it in gear and maybe find out what going on. Let me know what you find out. You got me wondering.

Anyone got a 04 Daytona 600?

first off its a daytona 675... 75cc more compression. its slightly MORE powerful than the 600 class, yet not quite a 750. the bike rides a little higher than most rice rockets (so make sure you're comfy on it), and being a tripple has a great powerband, kind of the best of both worlds (being an I4 and Vtwin) The triumph was voted best in it class (600 class) by sport rider last year, and won international bike of the year award in 04. IMO a ****ing great machine, and rare for that matter. i'd jump on it.
