Use 10w40 motor oil in the gear box. Don't use any synthetic oils, oil marked "EC", or oil with "special" additives. Use Two Stroke ENGINE oil in the pump. If not doing an automatic oil pump the mix the gas and oil 32 to 1. That equals 4 ounces of two stroke ENGINE oi to one gallon of gas. NEVER use motor oil in the gas. Only two stroke engine oil.

Top rating? Thanks!

Can sombody please help I have a strange sound in my 2007 r1 motor if bike is cold the sound is not there if you floored it the sound is gone but as soon you slacking down the sound is gone as long as

Describe the sound; a low clunk, higher pitched tap. Does it increase with engine rpm? Noise that is present on deceleration is often in your valve train, cam chains particularly. Noises that getter louder as the bike gets hotter can mean the type and viscosity of the oil is too "thin". Write back some more symptoms. Good luck, it's an awesome bike

My car backfired while driving yesterday and split my muffler in half. What was that?

Maybe oil and or gas getting into the muffler then igniting. I've seen it happen before. Sounded like sombody fired off a shot gun, close. You don't want air leaks in your exhaust. No oxygen, no ignition, hopefully.

Check engine light came on today and didn't go off. The car is sputtering and loosing power. Just had a new air filter, battery mounts and an oil change done. Need to find out what the problem is or it's...

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. Since your check engine light is on, you need to take it to Autozone or Advanced to have it scanned. They will do this for free and it will probably lead back to your problem. The light is on because the computer has detected a problem with your vehicle. In all honesty, there are a hundred or so things that turn on a check engine light. That is why it is important to get it scanned. This is your best bet that way you are not throwing your money and time away on parts that you don't need.

Was driving on freeway about 80 miles a hour and it just stoped running like sombody turn it off the dash lites were still on .i checked the spark it was there. now it will not start

open the oil fill cap on the valve cover and look for the camshaft, or a valve you should be able to see at least one of them through that hole, crank the engine, does the shaft or valve move? If not then your timing belt is broken, a new belt costs about $19, they are not hard to install, and if your engine is a 1.9L, it is a non-interference fit engine, and you can replace the belt and it will be back right as rain. If the belt is not broken, go to your fuel rail and find the schrader valve at the right hand end, push it in and turn on the key, does fuel spray out? If not check fuel pump and relay. Hope this helps, let me know.

Hi. My motor is stuck. Cant turn it round.1992 2,8 diesel,Do sombody know hvat can be wrong.

If you have no movement at all then the engine is seized up maybe from no oil or no water .

You gotta strip in down to see ,maybe easier to remove it from the truck for that .

What about blow-by gas? Has it got excessive pressure? you can determine this by pulling the distick out while engine is running and check the pressure of the gas.
