Headlights and, starter motors require more amps (power) than the blinkers and, taillights
so: jump your battery before you tear into the wiring
If it still doesn't start or, light up
I'll help you troubleshoot the wiring

OK; A full old battery is not the same as a full new battery: a battery puts out 12v at 40 amps but, over time that can fall to 12v at 2amps this is plenty to light the lamps but, does not have enough ummph to turn over an engine so I suggested you jump start your bike with a car battery for that reason then we'll go from there

good! now we're doing something! can you get to the two wires that go to your starter motor? if you can; place / hook the jumper cables on those connection points / wires and, the motor should crank

if it does you have badly corroded battery cables be careful; the motor will turn the minute you make contact

Are you saying that you jumped the start switch and, still the starter wouldn't turn?

Do you have a meter or a test light?

how do you know the fuses are good? did you test them live on both sides with your test light glowing? by the way; run a wire from the battery to the positive headlight wire and, or; the headlight switch see if the headlight lights; if it does not light; run a wire from the frame to the negative side of the headlight wire to see if you have a ground; thanks

Problem with start button.

I suspect the start button. In many bikes the start button deactivates the headlight to provide full power for starting. This continuous load works the button mechanism quite hard.

Start button was stuck and now button wont start the honda shadow vlx

Sounds more like the battery may be dead... take the battery to O'Reilly's or Autozone and check the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps).. amperage is what starts your bike.. not voltage.. then see what happens...Next, its time to trace voltage.. make sure you are getting voltage from the battery to the solenoid.. then from the solenoid to the starter,,

After stalling the bike (1997 vt 750) the headlight isn't on and it won't start. There is no power at the headlight fuse. There is power to the ignition start switch. Do you have any sugestions....

You probably have a broken or dirty starter button. When the button is pushed in halfway it turns off the head light. when it is pushed in the rest of the way it engages the solenoid. Be sure to check the main fuse on the stater solenoid next to the battery that will turn the power off to the entire bike.

Bike wont start from hand controls and headlight wont turn on the bike will run but to start it i have to pop start it

If the battery is in good shape and fully charged - and the headlight fuse is not blown, then I suspect that the starter button is at fault. The starter button does two things when you press it: engages the electrical circuit that causes the starter relay to trip, and, at the same time, cuts power to the headlight.

It could be that the contacts inside the handlebar mounted starter button are dirty. You can try spraying some electrical contact cleaner in there - but you are likely going to have to replace the whole right side handlebar switch assembly.

My 95 f3 will crank but wont start. everything was working fine replace a headlight now it wont start with the starter. battery is charged and i can push start it but the engine just cranks and cranks and...

Sounds like a wire or plug got disconnected while changing the headlight out, the harness that connects to the clutch safety switch, the one that lets the ignition fire when cranking only when the clutch is pulled in. A safety feature so you don't dump the bike if you crank it while in gear.

Bike wont start unless the headlight fuse is removed

Check the ignition switch.  The headlight power runs through the ignition switch, and this turns off the headlight when the starter is engaged, which provides full battery power to the starter without the load from the headlight.  If there is damage to the starter button, it may be shorting out and causing the problem.
