The engine oil also lubricates the transmission and clutch. There is no separate procedure for changing it, changing the engine oil is all there is.

You need a service manual, the engine oil is located under the shifter, while the transmission fluid drain i probably located on the bottom of the clutch cover (you will se it because it is the only one with a copper washer, you must fill BOTH side with fluids as well as different fluids........ btw don't listen to people who do not know what they are talking about

How do i bleed the clutch

Make sure clutch master cylinder is full of fluid. Pump clutch pedal several times and hold to floor. Open bleeder screw located on slave cylinder at transmission ( air/fluid will come out ). Close bleed screw and bring clutch pedal back up to to top. repeat this procedure until only fluid comes out of the bleedscrew and the clutch pedal feels good

I recently change my transmission oil and a week after when it shift from 2nd to 3rd gear it is racing, and the reverse gear is slow in selecting.

You likely did not fill the transmission with enough (or too much) transmission fluid or you may have not used the proper transmission fluid for the vehicle. (Parts store people cannot be trusted!)

Follow the owner's manual procedure for checking transmission fluid level. You may have caused damage to the transmission. Low oil levels can result in air being sucked into the hydraulic system inside the transmission, resulting in inadequate forces necessary to hold clutches together enough to prevent slippage, wearing them out prematurely. Check the color of the transmission fluid by wiping the end of dipstick on a clean, white paper towel. If it's brown and/or smells burned, be prepared to spend a few grand! Fill up the transmssion to the proper level to find out!

Transmission not shiftin

For car not changing gears it can be shifter assembly issue, or it can also be transmission issue. Get the shifter assembly inspected with ignition OFF.

For more troubleshooting, I suggest you to get the Following help link checked, its complete step by step procedure to inspect gear shift issues: -----

TRANSMISSION GEARS SLIPPING AND FLUID LEAKING ISSUES

Transmission gear assembly and transmission needs inspection. Also check the transmission fluid level. Also is the fluid getting leaked or its low.

There are few very helpful links with solutions to troubleshoot this problem.

I get codes p0700 and p0740 on a dodge grand

P 0700 = EATX (Electronic Automatic Transmission Communication) Controller DTC Present. = An automatic transmission input DTC has been set in the transmission controller.
P 0740 = Torque Converter Clutch. No RPM Drop at Lockup. = Relationship between engine speed and vehicle speed indicates no torque converter clutch engagement.

Yes the Fluid and Filter Change should take care of this. However, Dodge, Chrysler, and Plymouth Minivans have had alot of Transmission problems over the years. Make sure that whomever changes the Transmission Fluid that they use exactly what is specified. Also, do not let any Mechanic talk you into a Superflush of the Transmission. This procedure does not change the Filter.

Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional information or questions. Feel free to contact me at FixYa.com!

Automatic Transmission Doesn T Shift Into Drive but will go in reverse, from any other gear (including P or neutral)

check transmission fluid make sure its not low.if fluid looks black and smells burnt.change transmission fluid and filter.if you already change fluid and filter.your transmission manual valve out of adjustment.or you have faulty oil pump and worn over drive with a damage roller clutch.also forward clutch has worn or burned clutch plates damage piston or seals.

Reverse

It could be worn synchros in the transmission (hopefully not, as that requires disassembly of the gearshafts inside the transmission). Try changing the transmission fluid - Audi and VW claim "lifetime" fluid for the transmission that never needs servicing, but I've changed 75k mile fluid that looked horrendous.

Reverse gear has grinding noise...?

Have them flush the fluid out under warranty and put in new fluid, and have them bleed the clutch lines in case air is getting in there. Audi and VW claim lifetime transmission fluid but it's BS - I've changed relatively low mile fluid from these cars and it was horrendous. It's possible that the fluid itself is causing trouble, but it's more likely that it is a synchro problem. If it was a clutch issue, you should have problems with more than just reverse gear - a clutch simply engages and disengages the engine and transmission, regardless of which gear it is. The problem (if not fixed by fluid) is in the transmission, and being under warranty, don't accept another "suggestion" like they're giving you. Changing your clutch isn't gonna do it.
