Question about 1987 Honda CBX 250
I have bought a 1977 CB250 Superdream, already restored but to assemble engine fitted & forks fitted, rear heal spring in, I am stuck with the centre stand & surrounding fittings, I could do with assembly map/advice from here as i can not follow the Haynes manual( doesnt show this properyly) Ronnie Lumb, 77 Hallbower, The Village, Newsome, Huddersfield Tel:01484 305578

take off the gear lever look under it you will see a engine bolt that wen you remove is very close to the gear lever then u know thats the wright one mount the fittings for the stand with the alan key bolts they can be a bit fiddley put the springs on the stand then mount it with the shaft you will have to pull the stand a bit then wen you have it on move the right exhaust clamp round so it doesnt hit the stand.and re fit the gear lever

Yes, the instructions you were given previously are spot on. You could also use large multi grips to pull the spring over to its mount. I strongly recommend that you find a person to assist you with the task, e.g. one person to steady the bike, while the other pulls on the spring.
