Fixing speaker sound

My stereo doesn't have enough base. I heard there was a baffle of some kind to cover back of the speaker but I can't find where to get it.

Still have sound through speaker with channel B gain input set to OFF

This could be fixed checking/changing the vol pot of the "B" channel, also i would highly recommend to clean all back switches, including Stereo/Bridge switch, which it should be outwards to operate in Stereo mode, let me know if i can help more.

Speakers

What kind of speakers do you have and what is it you are plugging them to? If those speakers have an RCA AUDIO IN at its back, then use an RCA cable. If the sound source does have an RCA AUDIO OUT then connecting it to your speakers should have no problem. If it doesn't have AUDIO OUT, but has PHONES socket, use a stereo DIN plug with an RCA plug at the other end to connect it to your speakers.

I cant get my theater system to work right only two speakers work, d o i plug into the back of directv reciever box

If only two of the speakers out of all are working, there is a possibility that your system is set to stereo audio instead of 5.1 channel surround sound. The easiest way to check and fix this problem would be to look on your remote control for the audio or "surround" button, and press it.. A notification should come up either on screen or on the unit itself, and tell you whether or not it is on Stereo, or Surround Sound! Hope this helps, if that doesn't fix your problem please post back!

I bought replacement drivers for Mission 780 speakers...how do I replace them...no visible screws...does the cover plate come off?

Screws are hidden under the plastic plugs where the covers slot in. remove cover, then maybe use a pencil and fingers to prize out the rubber "holes". Once all four removed, unscrew the four screws visible. Carefully lift off baffle, note that tweeter will be attached to the baffle. You then have easy access to the driver, again another four screws holding that in. You may find erosion on the terminals.

I think my speakers have blown they sound quite bad and no base to them can they be repaired or would it be cheaper to buy new they are monitor bronze br2 they are only 1 and half years old perhaps i didnt...

If a speaker goes "bad" it usually can not be fixed. Speaker systems use different speakers for different tones. This sounds like the speaker used for bass is not working. Check if there is a fuse in the speaker cabinet somewhere. Also, is there bass gone on both speakers?

Audio from tv is not restored by turning off power on headphones

It sounds as if you are plugging the base into a standard headphone jack located on the Television set.

RCA Headphone jacks (incl mini) automatically stop the sound output to the main speakers on almost every set I have seen.. or home stereo.. etc etc

In other words you can take a standard RCA jack.. with nothing connected to it.. plug it in while the music or sound is coming out the main speaker.. and it will cut off the output to those speakers..

If you set has audio outputs on the back.. preferably Fixed Audio Out .. you will need to connect your base unit to those.. turn your set volume to 0 and adjust the headset volume using the control on the right ear-cup.

If you have variable audio out.. you will need to go into your TV sets setup menu.. turn off the speaker.. and turn up the set until you achieve a signal and decent volume through the headset.

If you are missing these connections.. your current “work around” is your only solution.

Best of luck

Up grading speakers

this is a dedicated sound card to split the sound the way it should be heard, there are specific types of speaker systems you can use with this either a 2.1,5.1 or 7.1 set up, but dont just buy 8 (4pr) of normal speakers as it won't work, buy the 2.1, 5.1 or 7.1 speaker sytem. Also the sound will only be reproduced in supported games and dvd movies, other than that you will only achieve normal stereo
