Question about Honda VT 1100 C Shadow Spirit Motorcycles
I always expect some gas in the oil on my bike when i bring it back out in the spring. I bought this bike new last summer and like always i changed the oil first thing this spring. we went on a trip a few weeks ago and i noticed it was getting a little too hot for the cool temps we were riding in. i checked the oil and it had gas in it. so i changed it again and now i have gas in my oil again. any ideas?
The gas must be passing in through the inlet via the carburator/s which seems to be flooding.
Remove the carbs and check the float pins and adjust.
Please dont forget to replace the oil filter as it must be full of gas too!
Check the petcock too ...maybe the auto shut off isn't functioning!
Hope this helps!
