Question about 2004 Honda CBF 250

Clutch Iv just brought Honda 250CBF 04 under 12,000 miles ....iv noticed when the bike is warmed up i have problems when i go down to first gear to stop... my problem is when i try to move off again in first will not move...tonight on my journey home i had to turn the bike off then try again...then after a few mins it will pull away.... Could the clutch and plates be the problem...iv already had it adjusted so its not that...

    I put it in first gear, no play on the leaver....but after awhile it pulls away....after i stopped and restarted..

    Is it tht it will not engage into the 1st gear or it does engage but doesn't move upon you letting the clutch lever?

Clutch plates wiuld affect all gears.The type of oil in the enine affects the plates. .Make sure you the clutch is not hanging up and has free play on lever when clutch is engaged. It should be slipping bad. ckeck clutch lever on yhe engine for full release and free play.. good luck

    Your clutch is not fully engaging. You need free play to take all the tension off the pressure plate. You will cause bigger problems if not corrected.. See if other end of clutch cabe hs ant slack in it or the lever it is attached to. The fee play is an absolute must have. try to give it some at the lever adjusrers(in cable)

Sounds like your clutch is getting stuck in the disengagement. Follow the clutch cable down and check to see if its moving or stuck.

sounds to me like your friction plates in your clutch assy. are worn down to much.

Clutch specs.

i just replace my clutch in my 04 rm125 tonite.i rode my bike with clutch going for about 4 months.last week locked up iv learn if it locks up stop .change clutch and spring answer your question if your having problems ....EBAY EBAY brought new clutch and springs for $42 with shipping ...... the best part shipped in 2 days

Stuck in gear

ry useing blue LOCTITE on the pinch bolts and other fasteners to keep the shifter from vibrating loose again. I had the shift linkage vibrate loose on my Thruxton when it was new, I had to fix it on the road to get home.
