You need to remove the starter and bench test it. Once you get the starter off you can hook the ground of a jumper cable to the starter and then touch the positive to the postitve post and you may need to jump to the solenoid

There is a loud spinning and whirring sound when you start my 86 Honda Accord. Starter was taken off to see if it was engaging . Felt inside the whole where the starter goes and there were "gaps"...

If its an automatic it is called a ring gear. If its a manual it is the flywheel.

The transmission will need to be removed in order to replace it.

I have a 1984 Honda Shadow 500C. that when first starting in the morning, the starter just spins and doesn't engage anything. After several attempts it will finally start and then is fine all day long....

Yep, its a common problem. The pinion gear on the starter is sticking and will need to be removed, cleaned and tested. If it is worn out then have it replaced.

GOOD DAY, Dear friends, can somebody help me with adjusting the valves gaps of Honda VT 500C. What is the proper gap? How exactly the valves can be adjusted? Thank you in advance!

Hi,
Your valve clearances should be:
Intake .08-.12 mm (.003-.005 in)
Exhaust .12-.16 mm (.005-.006 in)
I usually start all gaps in the middle of given specs, then fine tune from there.
Hope this helps
