Petrol smell is heavy during starting

Hi, Prem for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. For more information about your issue please visit the website below. Good luck and have a nice day.

My engine oil smell of petrol what could course this

A common cause is worn piston rings. This can be checked doing a compression test.
Call your Honda shop for what the cylinder compression reading should be for your bike.
Place a compression test gauge in each cylinder spark plug hole one at a time and crank over the engine (if you have a kick starter use it with the key off. If it is electric start only, pull the other spark plug wires when you crank it so the engine does not try to start. Write down the reading from each cylinder. The readings should all be close to the same. If one or two are allot lower than the highest reading, the low reading cylinder(s) probably have worn piston rings. If all readings are much lower than the spec from your Honda shop, it is possible that all cylinders need new piston rings.

Run out of petrol put more in went to start car just kicks over seem like petrol not getting to carb the car is a 1997 model 146 no smells like flooding

Are you sure you ran out of petrol? It might be that the petrol pump or something else had died. The only way to tell is to undo the fuel line from the carb and turn it over, check if it pumps fuel (have someone help you with this.) You might also find that you've got a blockage in your fuel filter, caused maybe by **** left floating at the top of the tank that was sucked in when you ran out of petrol. Check the filter first and see if it's OK, then check if fuel is flowing. Also, on a 97 Alfa, I'd imagine it was fuel injected though I could be wrong. If it is then you'll want to be more careful wit the fuel line.

Brand new Husqvarna R53SV 53cm Petrol Mower wont start. We put petrol and oil in it. Connected the spark plug put the choke to on, Pulled the starter string. Nothing happend. After trying a few times you...

Buy some starting fluid and spray some in the carb or air cleaner intake port, if the machine is flooding do not choke while using the starting fluid, make sure you do not have too much oil in the mowwer.
