Question about 2002 Suzuki GSX-R 600

2 Answers

Headlight question I recently purchased an 02 gsxr 600 and have a question regarding the headlights. Currently there is one operational low beam and two high beams. I do not have them manual for it yet, and when it was inspected, they claimed it only is supposed to have one low beam. Another dealer claims it should have two. I have looked online and everything I read says it is supposed to have two operational low beams and two high beams, which was new for 2002. I know since then it has gone back to one low beam. Does anyone else have an 02 that knows for certain whether there should be one or two low beams?? Thanks!

I know this is an old post, but damn, squid, you are not worthy of owning a gixxer. That is a straight up typical noob question. Matter fact it's so stupid it almost sounds like a joke! Give the bike to someone who knows a little bit about motorcycles. YES! ONLY ONE LIGHT WHEN RUNNING LOW BEAM.

02 Buick century the passenger low headlight not working but high beam is. I checked fuses inside the car what others things can I check.

There should be a left and right fuse and a relay involved.
The lights get power from the fuses, and the headlight switch and dimmer switch provide the ground circuit. So if you check the headlight plug with a meter you should have power and ground for high and low beam.

2002 suzuki gsxr 600 headlight is not working.

check the plug earth wire for clean fastening to earth. On a H4 bulb one wire is power for power for low beam the other is power for high beam and the third wire(normally black) is the earth wire.. Place a continuity tester ( multimeter set to read resistance ) on the black and place the other lead on the bike frame and see if you get a circuit. If not check that wire all the way. It is possible for the current to flow from one beam back through the other beam hence stopping current flow because the resistance is excessive in the earth wire.

My 2006 GSXR-600 headlight goes in and out

Hi, Gixxer86 if your headlight is not working, only one beam works, keeps burning out, blinking, dim or surges from bright to dim to bright the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, then check your head light bulb socket ground wire for a clean tight connection, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn down solder contacts or loose fit of the bulb base in the socket due to vibration.
3. Worn, chafed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
4. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
5. Faulty hi/low beam switch.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
8. Faulty headlight relay.
9. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
10. Weak charging alternator/generator/lighting coil
11. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier ground or overcharging.

How to replace toyota matrix front headlight bulb

Hi,

Replacing a headlight on a Toyota Matrix is a simple process that only requires the use of a screwdriver and a replacement bulb. The Matrix uses 9006 bulbs for the low beams and 9005 bulbs for the high beams. Headlight bulbs can be purchased at auto parts stores.
Replacing Low Beam Bulb
  1. Turn off the engine of the Matrix and open the hood
  2. Rotate the bulb base in the headlamp assembly counterclockwise to remove the low beam bulb. Unplug the electrical connector. If the connector is too tight, wiggle it slightly to help remove it.
  3. Install a new bulb into the connector and place it into the assembly. Rotate it clockwise to lock it into place. Close the hood.
Replacing High Beam Bulb
  1. Turn off the engine of the Matrix and open the hood. If replacing the left-hand headlight, remove the air cleaner duct by removing the securing clip with a screwdriver and pulling the duct out of the vehicle.
  2. Turn the bulb base counterclockwise to remove it. Unplug the electrical connector.
  3. Install a new bulb into the connector and place the bulb into the assembly. Rotate it clockwise to lock it into place. Reattach the air cleaner duct if replacing the left-hand headlight. Close the hood
I hope this helps.

Best regards.
