Cthe oil level isnt too high, then check up exhaust for any oily soot there, do a compression test, it may need piston rings. Also check engine breather hoses are clear.

SOURCE: my 2001 yz 426f boils/blows out radiator overflow hose

The older YZF's radiators were a tad small so they would overheat when sitting still. Even the newer ones will do this if sitting still for too long as there is no air flow across the radiators to dissapate the heat.

The overheating problem is more severe on the older bikes. The best bet is to make sure you avoid sitting still for too long. I know it's not much of a solution, but it's just the way it is with the older YZFs.

What would cause my cars engine to freeze up and no longer run

No oil or oil pressure , also check all belt driven components like alternator or a/c compressor or power steering pump and water pump one of listed items could seize and cause your engine not to turn over aka crank , not much info given on make and model of vehicle

98 siliverado 5.7, loosing fluid, cant find the leak

hey you people need to give some info .there is oil fluid anti freeze fluid power steering fluid windshield washer fluid .if your losing antifreeze it will show up on your dip stick as the level of oil rises . or its blowing out the over flow at the over flow jug which could be many things plugged rad fins cracked block or head .just not enough info to diagnose this . seen pin holes in hoses that spray only while driving or reving engine.

Why is my 1991DR350 blowing oil out oil breather hose

oil blow-back can sometimes be caused by a blockage causing the oil not to flow properly or you have a bad oil pump.
check all hoses if it continues then take the cover off the oil tank , remove spark plug then hand crank the engine over and watch for oil flowing back to tank, if it doesn't you need to rebuild or replace oil pump

Have a 1958 Chevy 348 / 409 engine that runs hot.

Waterpump? The blades can erode away from age and old antifreeze. Or not enough airflow thru the radiator. Try blowing through the fins with an airhose to see if it is dirty or plugged.

What is the little hose called that runs into just below oil fill

If it is a 3/4" hose similar to a heater hose, it goes to your air pump system. it can be replaced with standard heater hose.

Runs hot when rad cap is tight

with the cap off when you start the car does the water shoot out? if so the head gasket is blown and when the cap is tight the water is pressurized by the leaking head gasket and will cause to overheat from pressure blowing all the water out of the overflow. or the head gasket leak is boiling the water in the head and causing the water to overheat.
this is my guess or you have a coolant leak somewhere over the exhaust and it isnt making it to the ground from evaporation.
check for swollen hoses. if you have swollen hoses ill bet they are covered in oil this will break down the rubber and weaken the hoses keep all oil leaks from getting on your hoses at all times as this will destroy them.if you need to replace the cap then the pressure release in the cap is worn out or stuck and the pressure isn't reaching the over flow. replace cap and see if problem is resolved.overheating isn't usually caused by a cap.
but cars differ in design and the thermostat may need the pressure to release properly.
if that doesnt work try replacing the thermostat it is responsible for releasing hot water from the engine to the radiator to be cooled by the fan then close off so the water can cool in the radiator. if this cycle doesnt work properly then the thremostat is usually the culprit.
replace as nessesary.
good luck

I had the same problem! I found that the needle valve in the carb was not shutting off the fuel flow when not running. Either replace needle valve or put a shut off valve in the fule line. Should take care of the problem
