I looked online and couldn't find a service manual. Best I can do is suggest that you go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. Yes, I know the link says Yamaha. You will select the brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. Hopefully this will help in determining the position of the bushings.

1983 Honda GL 1100 brake calipers are dragging

Hi, Scott and the usual suspects are:
1. Caliper, bracket, wheel, or brake disc not properly spaced.
2. Contaminated caliper causing the piston to stick.
3. Wrong type of brake fluid causing seals and o-rings to swell.
4. Wrong brake pads for the caliper.
5. Improper free play at the master cylinder.

Hi, Jfrdmon here are some options for lowering your bike depending on your needs and wallet:
1. Rear shock lowering kit.
2. Front fork lowering kit.
3. Shorter rear shocks.
4. Shorter front forks.
5. Thinner padded seat.
6. Lower profile tires.

What is the tire pressure on the front and rear of a 1983 GL 1100 Aspencade

The factory pressure is on a sticker on the frame by the side cover. If you run 35 PSI front and rear you will have less trouble with tire cupping, better cornering, and longer tire life.

HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE REAR TIRE AND WHEEL ON A 1985 GOLDWING 1100I

Take off the right saddlebag. Center stand the motorcycle on a lift. It is easier to drop the wheel out the bottom of the wheel well. Unbolt the caliper and hang it from a piece of wire. Unbolt and slide out the rear axle. If the axle hits the mufflers, take out the lower shock bolts and lower the wheel and swing arm enough to pull the axle and spacer out. The wheel is now resting on a splined shaft. Grab the wheel and pull it/slide it sideways away from the final drive assembly. now you should be able to drop it out the bottom or roll it out the back of the wheel well. If the tire is too wide to fit between the final drive spline and the swing arm, let the air out of the tire to squeeze it through the gap. Go to the local Honda dealer and purchase a tube of Moly60 Paste and coat the spline on the final drive with it before reassembly.

How do I remove the rear tire from a 1983 Honda goldwing 1100 GL

Center stand the bike, loosen the rear axel nut, take out the bolt, knock out the spacer , lift the caliper assembly out of the way and hang it by a wire, grab the wheel, and slide it sideways away from the final drive. The wheel should slide right off the spline of the final drive and roll out the back under the fender. If the wheel wont slide past the final drive let the air out of the tire. Be sure to coat the spline of the final drive with moly60 paste from your local Honda dealer when reassembling

1977 honda goldwing rear tire removal never had

Get a service manual.
there are two ways to go. both time consuming and of moderate difficulty.
My favorite is to remove the trunk, saddlebags, rear fender as a unit. Then the tire is in the open to work on. Not an easy job.
