Remove center console from 2002 ford explorer. do I have to remove the seats?

I don't think you have to remove the seats. However any nuts, bolt or screws you remove you'll need to keep in case you're replacing the console.

Open the console and at the bottom you'll find two Phillips head screws.

Look at the front of the console, beneath the radio. Next to the coin holder area, is four bolts. Remove the four bolts with a ratchet.

Look at the center part of the console. There are two Phillips-head screws. Remove these with a Phillips screwdriver.

Pull the console upward to unhook it from the floorboard. Remove it from the Ranger. With the console removed, you'll see the mounting brackets for the console and the nuts the screws and bolts go into. It is not necessary to remove these brackets when replacing the console.

Move the replacement console into the cabin. Line up the console with the mounting brackets on the floorboard. The console screw and bolt holes should be lined up with the mounting bracket's nuts.

Hold the console firmly in place with hand. Insert and tighten the two Phillips-head screws in the console storage compartment, and then insert and tighten the four bolts at the front part of the console. Insert and tighten the two Phillips-head screws in the center of the console.

Hope I didn't over explain. Hope this helps.

The center console usually has concealed nuts or screws under or behind the round plastic tabs. Somtimes there is a screw or two under the rubber mat and in the storage compartment as well. Hope this helps.

L have a Kustom Kruiser Glide Deluxe bike, which you pedal backward to make back brake work which does ok, but sometime when you pedal forward the hub slips so you get no drive.

Hi davethenutt..
Check your nuts that hold the "guts" into the center of the bike rear wheel.
Sometimes when they are too tight it causes the problem you are talking about.
Remove the rear wheel assembly
Once you have the rear wheel assembly removed from the bike, hold the axle and rotate the wheel, it should spin easy, if it spins rough or not at all, then loosen the nuts.
The nuts are after you remove the axle nuts.
Please take time to rate me

How do you remove the front wheel of a gl1000 honda goldwing

Center stand the bike, place a jack under the motor but do not lift yet, unbolt calipers and hang with wires, loosen the four nuts and washers on the bottom of fork on nut looking end of axle(nut should turn but may not be tight), loosen nut on axle, now take off all nuts washers, and pull off two caps. Now slowly jack up motor to rock bike back on center stand, just enough to roll wheel out the front. When putting caps back on make sure arrows on the caps are pointed forward. Also use feeler gauge in tool kit (or eyeball it) to make sure discs are centered in caliper slots and not rubbing against calipers(before tightening eight nuts on fork bottom caps. Also make sure speedo gear is positioned correctly(not binding) and wheel spins freely before dropping wheel. It takes some fiddling around to put this front wheel back on. Minor adjustments are made by spinning the axle nut to adjust fork spacing.

1998 corvette, center console power outlet has come apart, how do you get to the underside of the console?

Open the hatch/door on the center console, pry up that plastic piece just forward of the door with a small screwdriver working from the rear, remove those 2 nuts in the recess, unscrew the door if you wish for easier handling, at the rear of the console opening there are 2 small plastic covers, pop those out and remove the 2 nuts under them, lift the rear of the console and slide it back just enough to unplug the fuel door opening button( there isn't much slack in the wiring for this button so don't pull the console back too far ). I suspect you only needed step one, but this will get the console out for easier access to the power outlet.
