Sounds like the master cylinder is defective or you need to bleed the system. Did you possibly add in the wrong type of brake fluid and destroy all rubber components in the sytem???

SOURCE: 2002 HD Dyna Super Glide front brake noise at low

If it sounds like "swish-swish" noise, that is nornal for your bike. HD changed the front brakes in the 90's and the result was better stopping performance but there is that darned swishing sound. Don't worry about it, mate, there's nothing wrong with your bike.

Now, if you start to hear squealing when you pull the lever, take the bike to a shop to have the brakes pads replaced. If you feel vibration when you apply the brakes, take it to a shop immediately and have them check the wheel spokes for tightness.

SOURCE: brakes rubbing in front causing

Disc brakes are going to rub, that's the way they are designed. They have no springs or anything to retract the pads once the piston pushes them out. This is the way they keep the rotor clean and dry and provide superior braking in wet weather. If the brakes drag too heavily on the rotor, it could be because the caliper is not "floating" as it should on the mounting pins. The caliper should slide back and forth on the two mounting pins. Take them out and put synthetic brake grease on them and make sure the caliper is loose. Also, make sure the brake hose is good. The brake hose can become internally detached. When it does this, it will allow the brake fluid to pass when you apply the brakes because of the extremely high pressure. But, It will not allow all the pressure to bleed off the caliper when you release the lever and will hold the pads too tightly against the rotor. To test, apply the brakes and then let off. Then, open the brake bleeder valve and see if the brake fluid makes a short squirt out of it. Air in the brakes will cause the same problem. Bleed the brakes and see if that helps.

Good Luck

SOURCE: I have a 2002 dyna

It's probably the front brake light switch is broken causing this. The brake light switch is operated by a tab on the backside of the front brake lever. To get to the switch, you must disassemble the right handlebar switch housing. Remove the two bolts that hold the housing halves together. Loosen the throttle and idle cable adjustments and remove the throttle sleeve. Lower the bottom half and you'll see the switch in the front of the housing. You'll have to unsolder the wires from the old switch and resolder them to the new switch. I don't think Harley has changed them to plug on type wire connectors. This would be my best guess.

Good Luck

New master cylinder and brake line on 2002 wide glide no brake preasure wheel turnes no brake preasure what next

First thing, is the bleeder valve on the caliper at the wheel in the high position?
If it's on the lower part of the caliper, air will be trapped above it.
Sometimes, a brake vacuum bleeder works better than the traditional way:

http://www.harborfreight.com/brake-bleeder-and-vacuum-pump-kit-69328.html

After bleeding all the air you can, leave it overnight with the pedal/lever (you didn't state if the front or rear brake) tywrapped in the ON position overnight.

IF it's the rear brake, make sure there's a slight amount of play before the rod to the pedal engages the master cylinder piston (if not, it won't allow the piston to fully return).

2001 hd dyna wide glide brake light does not come on when brakes are applied , tail light works, bulb is ok , is it the brake sensor ,where is it located and what does it look like thanx

Your Wide Glide has two brake light switches. One is in the right handlebar switch housing and operated by a tang on the front brake lever. If it's not working you probably have a bad switch up there as well. The rear brake switch is underneath the bike. Find the metal line coming out of the rear brake master cylinder. Follow this line back towards the rear brake. You should find a "tee" fitting with a small switch screwed into it. It'll have two wire plugs with about four wires on it unless they've changed something. You'll know it when you see it. Replace this switch first. Since the front brake light works off this switch as well, it may fix the front brake light switch as well. If not, you'll have to take the right handlebar switch housing apart to get to the front switch.

Good Luck
